How would one find or get a sealed letter?

 

There is a small chance to get them when getting a weapon or armor relic. More info can be found on the wiki

Just by walkin on the relic?

 

When you would normally obtain a hidden relic, you would have a small chance of getting a sealed letter instead. You would get the relic by walking over it.

Not all relics are hidden. Can you get one by stepping on a powder relic?

 

Only the hidden relics :(

The powder relics (and Emerald Relic possibly) don't drop a Sealed Letter. Relic armor and weapons do, though.

i got a letter but i want the relic instead, but it seems like that you only have one chance to get the relic... is there a way to get the relic? (in my case the relic helmet)

 

Just go and get the relic again...

you can only get each individual relic I think ever 2 hours. 2 hours? Is that right?

So if you just got the helmet relic and got the letter, wait 2 hours, then go get it again (and probably get the actual relic)
