I really don't know what people think they'll accomplish by posting a picture of a peace symbol on Instagram with '#prayforparis' in the description. It's a good sentiment, but what does it accomplish other than making the person feel good about themselves briefly?

 

Yeah, that's sort of the problem with events like these. Everybody says "let's do something" but then nobody actually ends up doing anything. I'm not against #prayforparis, I think it's great that people care, but it would be cool if people cared enough to take meaningful action.

Well, what can we do? I mean, we could donate something, but that would mean we'd have to get a plane ticket to Paris. I think all we can do is well, pray.

 

We could donate to various non-government organizations who are currently assisting the affected civilians, like Red Cross.

A similar bombing happend in Lebanon. Why dont we pray for them. Is it because since France is a first world county the people who died there are more valuable then the people in Lebanon? I dont think so.

 

That really is true, why don't we have a #pray4lebanon? Is it because they are not as important as Parisians? I don't think so, they are still humans and have feelings, everyone is equal except for the sick bastards at Isis

 

It's not because France and its citizens are more important than Lebanon, it's because mainstream media focuses more on France and therefore the majority of citizens do too.

I think they have pray4paris because bombing are very rare in france due to high security.
thats why they dont have pray4syria because it is expected.
