(now Running!) Inspired Title: A Game Where You Create Your Own Fighter And Fight Other People!

HELLO! Currently, I am in Alpha phase. The game is now running, but we need your ideas to make it better!

Also, YOU CAN BEND THE RULES A LITTLE BIT TO CREATE A MORE PERSONAL FIGHTER. Don't stray from it too much, I don't want it being too confusing.

Welcome to INSPIRED TITLE, a game where you figure out that I was about to just copy and paste the title! Here are the rules (You know the rules, and so do I!):

RULES:
No powerplaying/mary sues (no making your character have tons of power or be a stereotypical little twerp)
No material particularily offensive to a group of people
Please be creative. If you're gonna use a pony, don't make it a pink Rainbow Run thingy.

YOU CAN DISTRIBUTE UP TO 100 POINTS TO YOUR STATS
TECHNOLOGY offenses will take down DEFENSES. MAGIC offenses will take down SPECIAL DEFENSES. If EITHER of your defenses reaches 0, you be dead son, and the opposing fighter(s) will win. Do not worry, your same fighter is still alive, but it lost.
TECHNOLOGY: BASE STATS
60 OFFENSE, 90 DEFENSE, 90 SPECIAL DEFENSE, 60 SPEED
MAGIC: BASE STATS
90 OFFENSE, 60 DEFENSE, 60 SPECIAL DEFENSE, 90 SPEED

MOVE MAKING:
THE BASE POWER OF ANY ATTACKING MOVE WILL DEAL THAT PERCENTAGE OF YOUR OFFENSE TO THE TARGETS RESPECTIVE DEFENSE. YOU MAY HAVE A MAXIMUM OF A 75 BP MOVE.

Epic Beam; BP 50;
Guy (Magic) has 100 Offense, Dude (Tech) has 200 Special Defense
Guy used Epic Beam, Dude's health was reduced to 150
IF YOU HAVE 1-20 BASE POWER, YOU HAVE A 50% CHANCE OF INFLICTING A MAJOR CONDITION OF YOUR CHOICE. IF YOU HAVE 21-35 BP, YOU HAVE A 50% CHANCE OF INFLICTING A MINOR CONDITION OF YOUR CHOICE. IF YOU HAVE 36-55 BP, YOU HAVE NO SIDE EFFECTS. IF YOU HAVE 56-75, YOU DEAL ONE FOURTH OF THE DAMAGE INFLICTED TO YOURSELF OR HAVE A CONDITION OF YOUR CHOICE (OR RECOIL OF 25% BP). Example (Epic Beam; BP 35, Paralysis)

STATUS MOVES CAN RAISE 2 STATS BY A HALF, OR DOUBLE ONE STAT
Example:
Get Buff Nerd; Spe.
Epic Dance; Off./Spe.
Guy has 100 Off. and 100 Spe.........Dude has 100 Spe.
Guy used Epic Dance!......................Dude used Get Buff Nerd!
Guy now has 150 Off and 150 Spe..Dude now has 200 Spe.

Also, any move tagged "recovery" will recover 40% of your health.

CONDITIONS:
Major: Freeze (Unable to move for 2 turns, but if you choose a move with recoil, it will execute and break the ice), Sleep (Identical to Freeze, except without the recoil thingy, but heals you by 5 of both defenses per turn)
Minor: Paralysis (Halves speed, 40% Chance to be unable to move each turn, indefinite), Burn (Halves Tech's offense, takes away 10 of both defenses per turn), Poison (Same as burn, but halves magic's offense)

ABILITIES:
Electric: Immune to Paralysis
Insomniac: Cannot fall asleep, recovery does 35% healing.
Fire: Immune to Burn
Ice: Immune to freeze, recoil moves do 15 extra damage to yourself.
Toxic: Immune to Poison

BATTLE SYSTEM
IN BATTLE:
The person with the higher speed moves first in every turn. You can't go twice, however. If the slower person is defeated before his move, he will not execute said move. Any stat changes (damage taken, boosts, conditions, etc) are reset upon the end of the battle.

Example:
Guy: @DUDE I challenge you to a duel!
Dude: Ok! Who is faster... *checks character sheet* You are, Guy! You move first!
Guy: I use (Giga Orc Beam; 70 BP; Paralysis)! I paralyze myself, but I damage you for 70! You're now down to 100 health!
Dude: My turn now! I use (Hyper Pun 70 BP; Recoil). I deal 17.5 Damage to myself, but I defeat you with 70 hit points!
Guy: Alright, now I have 30 Credits...
Dude: Yes! I now have 55 Credits!

There are 5 types of battles.
Duel: 1v1, winner gains 15 credits, loser loses 10
Doubles: 2v2, winners gain 15 each, losers lose 10 each
Triples: 3v3, same as doubles
Horde: 1v5, people on the 5 team get their stats lowered down to 1/5 of their previous state in battle, winner(s) will get 15 credits (each), losers lose 10.
Free-for-all: All willing participants, every man for himself. Winner gets 15, and loser gets -10. All in between are given a clap and a half.

Everyone starts out with 40 credits.

Oh wow these are exactly pokemon

Rocky Helmet: 30c}Anytime a Tech attacks you, they will recieve 15 damage on both defenses.

Life Orb: 25c}Base power of all moves rises by 20, but the side effects do not change. You will recieve 10 damage on both defenses each time you attack, however.

Leftovers: 40c}Heals both your defenses by 10 each turn.

Sitrus Berry: 30c}Works once per battle, heals 25 percent of both defenses once below half health.

Lum Berry: 25c}Works once per battle, cures any status ailment on use

Energy Reflector: 30c}Same as Rocky Helmet, but affects Magic instead of Tech. Also, only item not based on Pokemon!

Name (Nickame?): Lazarus
Species: Cybernetic Personified Siamosaurus Dravern, a Spinosaurid. I made up the species of Dravern to explain it's relatively small size, but Siamosaurus is a real thing. It's 10 feet head to tail and 3 Feet tall (not including the sail). It's tail is 4 feet long, and it's sail is 2 feet tall.

He's a little bit smarter than an average human, and socializes with humans. He can speak English because they built him to speak. His sails collect solar energy like a solar panel. His sails change color depending on his mood.

Ok, that art was disgusting, so basically it's a Siamosaurus looking thing with a short but long deep sky blue sail with a purple and white flame pattern on it, it's head is my profile picture (yes I drew that but I'm too lazy to draw crap after drawing that with a mouse [I wish I had a drawing pad]), notice the feathers everywhere, long tail with smaller sail on the end, duck feet, deep sky blue stripe running down it's body and fading away where the tail begins

Solar Heal Recovers 20 on both defenses on it's first use, but every turn it's used will increase it's regen by 20. HOWEVER, if used 2 times in a row, it's regen will be reduced by 10. (Turn 1: 20 Turn 2: 10 Turn 3: 0 Turn 5: 20 Turn 7: 40)

Species(anything you want, as long as it's relatively human sized and not OP): Storm Spirit, a mythological flying (no wings, just using wind) horse associated with wind and lightning, and said to accompany storms.

Galeforce was utterly alone, and this made him mad. He destroyed more and more, and eventually Aeolus intervened. Aeolus sent Galeforce to this forum post to take his anger out on people on his level.
Appearance description (If you're particularily good at art, you can post that in a spoiler instead.): A jet black horse laced with lightning. His eyes an electric blue, and his hooves create small webs of electricity wherever he moves.

Shadowlings are used more as a shield to block attacks since you said "Moves can be countered by magical people if they can find a somewhat creative way to counter it" It can also be used to attack for a small amount of damage but will disappear shortly after being summoned so I can't work up an army. I also put a 3 turn cooldown on it so I can't make the fight last forever by using it every turn. I'm assuming I could also shoot out my Darkness Missiles to intercept a ranged attack.



Overall this seems like it could be an extremely fun thing to do to pass the time till at least Gavel. You should also add some more conditions, maybe some way to level up later when there are more people so you can get more points in your stats or something, and more color to color coordinate the post making it more organized. If you need help coming up with ideas or helping with anything else for this I will most likely be glad to help! :)

 

Great submission! The countering is something that needs to be thought up on the spot, however, usually utilizing moves to neutralize an attack in a creative fashion or utilizing ones abilities, forexample, I could use my tail to break a physical attack.. Still, fantastic!
Also, you broke the mold a little, but I will encourage that. Speaking of...
I think I'm gonna get rid of countering all together. Negating an entire move because you post fast enough isn't going to be something healthy for the game.

I've got ideas for a good fighter but... I just don't understand the magic/technology thing, whether skill points are fixed or not and about the different move types (apparently recoil is even a thing when I look at areas other than the move creation section?).
