Concerning "events"

Agreed. If anything its just a ripoff of the thanksgiving ball.

I can relate to what you might be feeling, but Pillow did say that people should take inspiration, which is what deathmaster ultimately wanted. I do understand what you are thinking though.

 

Yeah but inspiration isn't copying something entirely.

Don't you get it? They aren't 100% the same. Yes, they are pretty darn similar, but they aren't identical. Your negative aura is killing me.

Why would there be a problem if the events were similar? Why do people have to whine about literally everything? Events are supposed to be fun. This community is large, it isn’t far fetched to assume that there would be more people and different people in a Christmas event — I even would invite my group of friends.

I have done some events in another Minecraft server, and actually we built/decorated stuff, made some mini-games too, like snowball fights and spleef, and tours throughout our giant map. I don’t think that those would be possible in this server, however, since we’d need staff involvemnt for that sort of thing (apart from the tours, I suppose).

 

Some of the hate is also biased. Alot of people are just used to Pillows events, and I can see why.

 

Why are you getting so worked up about somebody else's idea, when he said it was fine that others could make events like it?

 

Could not agree more. Pillow is known to be the main event maker, and the community is really used to his events. But as a community, we need to learn that some other people can make events.

Now I want everyone who's reading that comment to think: if deathmaster wanted to make an event, why would we stop him? When he posted the event, a lot of people said it was too similar to the thanksgiving ball, and they were right. But instead of helping him how to make it better, they harshed, and hated him.

In my opinion, the Christmas ball should return, and the hate replies, there should be suggestions about how to make the event better.

Maybe death wasn't that creative when coming with the idea (some people are more creative then others), but that doesn't mean that we have the right to harsh!

As pillow said, you can take inspiration. But don't take something, and claim it as your own.

All deathmaster wanted was to make an event. Not the most well made one, but still. And how do we reward hin? By giving him advices and helping him making the event better? NO! We just hate on him!

Now, I want you to think about deathmaster. Think about the other side of the screen. About the guy who tried, and got hated. The guy who tried to make another event, made 3 threads about it, and failed.

Now think about what you said to this guy. How do you think your replies effected on him? If you think they didn't, well, think again. Your replies have a much bigger effect on the other side then what you think.


I don't really have to add anything, so I'll end this message by saying: I really do hope that you took something from what I said.
