A Topic: Unity

I would just like to talk about how stuffed up the world is at the moment. No matter how peaceful it is, it isnt. The world is advancing but crumbling behind our backs :(. No one does anything together. Now everything in the world is split for everyone's own gain. What I want is something that will never happen. I want unity.

I am waiting for the day where hate is at its low point and most of the world is fixed. Who else has dreams about a world that is unified like it should be?

 

A unified world could end up being a dystopia.

 

Welcome to the human race, where complaining without doing or elaborating about anything specific will not help at all.

There's a reason why many cultures (eg Greek, Roman, you get the idea of where I'm going) often have a dark and light side; to keep the world in balance.
Everything has flaws, even the most perfected of machines will often have a flaw to them.
Computer programs and robots also have flaws and bugs. Should they seek perfection, one will find a way to still be able to defeat it, because that's what humans do.

Obviously you're overlooking the good in the human race, and constantly beating up the bad. What if Benjamin Franklin, the first person to be able to harness and use the power of electricity, never found out about electricity in the first place? What if the Chinese never found out about magnets pointing to the North Pole when allowed to freely float and spin in liquid? If you're complaining about humans having a specific feeling that every person has, why complain about the norm?

You're complaining about human nature, yet you're not even considering other global issues like global warming, child labour and the list goes on. We have other flaws like over-curiosity and greed causing these global issues, yet UNITY is the thing you're worried about?

Okay, nice try. Go think of better idea for likes.

Total unity does not lead to a better world, it leads to a conformist society where everybody has the same opinions. If there are no radicals, there are no new ideas. If there are no new ideas, there is no progress. Our society evolves because we think independently. Hatred between people is the price we pay for this intelligence.

 

It probably wont last because no one has the same opinion and have different values so eventually people will disagree and turn away then it will crumble.

 

Are you saying that it wasn't always like this?
