In the News Back To The Future

So it is the 21st of October 2015 tomorrow (day after tomorrow for people in Europe and the Americas) which is when Doc and Marty from back to the future arrive in the year 2015. So spot the difference (and similarities) between the 2015 from Back To The Future and 2015 in the "Real World".

 

That is very true, we didnt really do much to make the world better in the last 3 decades. Mostly because money and profits of big companies

 

It's so sad how people thought the world would be in 2015...
The thing is that we didn't do anything to try making the world a better place. The only thing that really changed in terms of technology are video games and touchscreens.

Think about that: imagine a world with no video games, no religions, no wars and and no fights. A world where all we do is to work, together.

In this world, how farther would siance go? How farther would technology go? How long it could take this world to make it to the moon? Or even discover other lives in other planets?

Just think about that.

 

My god some of the people here do not know anything about our world today. People such as @Kalmer and @yotamdin think that the world has only gotten worse over the past few decades, that we haven't tried to make it better. I beg to differ.

There is a phenomenon called the 'Progress Paradox', which is that the better things get the worse people think they are.
The number of undernourished people in the world has dropped from 19% in 1991 to 11% in 2013. This may not seem like much but it's nearly ten percent.
Child mortality rates have dropped by nearly 50% since 1990.
Death of mothers during childbirth has dropped from around 375,000 per year to around 300,000 per year. (data was not very specific on this one)
Worldwide deaths from HIV had been increasing from 1990-2005 until with more money spent it began to decrease greatly.
The earth's ozone layer had and still has a massive hole in it, however evidence shows that it's been gradually repairing itself since the ban of CFC gases in fridges and aerosols in 1987. Scientists state that if we continue being environmentally responsible the hole will be repaired by 2050.

So many great things are happening in our world and yet everybody seems to be ignorant towards it.

Not everything has gotten worse, I never said that, in fact I think that lots of things have gotten better, however there are things that have gotten worse e.g cheap producing companies that destroy nature, people destroying the rain forest etc.
Like I said I didnt mean everything got worse, but various things did just for money.
And true things that have to do with medicine (dont know how to say that) have evolved a lot.
Dont just make assumptions on how people think, if you dont know that, please. (sorry Im not good in writing long texts in english)

Yeah.. It is sad that people are destroying forests because they produce oxygen what we need to live and breathe... We are in the internet age so we basically would not have to destroy forests for paper and books... books could be just in the internet, tough I still perfer reading from books it just feels more natural :D

Why are people so dum..
Earth is slowly dying due to we using forests too much and destroying them
and are killing ourselves cause we are using too much fresh water
destroying earth's ozone IF this does not happen..
