Hello people of wynncraft,
today i have a subject that i feel i need to address immediately.
As many of you know, the staff has been working hard on Gavel.
Now before anyone freaks out, I WILL NOT BE RELEASING INFO ON GAVEL IN THIS POST.
I merely wish to discuss what i feel is happening.
I feel that the staff of wynncraft is near its breaking point due to all the hard work they have been doing.
Even Grian seems to be getting tired of all the work that has been going on.
I made a model of how that work is going below.
The amount of pressure and the constant time constraints of Gavel that may be affecting the staff in a negative way is shown as the massive clock.
The giant obsidian block is how much is left of Gavel.
The staff are the characters using their BARE HANDS to make progress in gavel.
But the real issue is that we have not supported them as much as we should be.
Do you know what i never see on these forums?
A thank you for all the work the mods have done over the past year.
Instead, i see "Gavel will come out in 2019" jokes and people pestering the mods about when it will be released.
I feel that our excitement for Gavel has blinded many players of the truth.
That we have merely been begging for Gavel without considering how hard this must be for the staff, trying to give them positive reinforcement, or realizing that the reason Gavel is taking a good deal of time is because the staff wants to make it as good as they can.
Its like if you were doing a 1000 page essay, and your little brother kept asking "is it done yet?"
That is no way to treat our friendly staff.
I hope to change that.
So i have a request to the users of this forum.
I want you to make something in minecraft showing that you support the staff and saying that you are willing to help and support the staff when it comes to the stress from Gavel. This can be anything, a statue, a heart, whatever you would like, just show the staff that we appreciate what they are doing, and that we will not be so selfish as to ask about Gavel every 6 seconds. I made my example below.

I will say this however, i DO NOT WANT negative comments against the staff on this post. If i see any, i will get them removed, alright?
Lets show the staff that they have the backing of their players, and that we are willing to wait for their project.

We're working hard on Gavel and it's worth it!

 

Take your time. Plenty of large game studios are deadline-less to keep stress to a minimum for their workforce (Even then, it's a free update so not a lot of room to complain.). You guys put most mmorpgs(At least in my book.) to shame, keep it up!

 

Like I say, Gavel is the biggest, fattest, most time consuming baby ever to be born.

 

Its unbelievable that the staff is making such a huge province for just 1 update, when i try to build a town in minecraf i always quit when im 20% done.

Since I'm at college and I only have the college-issued laptop with me, I won't be able to make something to support them until I get a mouse for the laptop.
(Seriously, have you even tried to move left on the touchpad without dragging in the sidebar of the Windows 8 menu and it automatically clicks one of the icons when you release your finger?)

Another thing I'd like to point out is the resource pack coming in Gavel.

While I'm hyped for it, some people aren't so hyped for it, I realize that people have opinions and all, but, It'll be sad that a resource pack the team spent hard work on will be the reason some people don't even want to play Wynncraft.

No offence shooting, its your opinion after all.

Some people on here don't like the idea of a required resource pack, and, while I respect the team's work, and that I'm going to use it as well, players should have a choice on whether to use the RP or not.
I even made a suggestion on it.

Interesting Point.
However, keep in mind that using other packs may make items that are generally recognizable turn into something that is misinterpreted.
Also, resource packs are generally each to use.

Not sure what money has to do with building in minecraft, but the heart picture is fine by me this time.
However, i would prefer creations so people cant take pics of the internet in 5 seconds.
I took 3-3 and 1/2 STRAIGHT HOURS making that clock and the rest of the creations.
I would hope others can work for this as well.

Nah nah, its cool.
I just find an issue with the idea of taking my choice away from enjoying something. I got Minecraft because I liked its open world-ness. I prefer a system, especially on the internet that doesn't require downloads from trusted, and non-trusted sources. I know the Wynncraft Team is a reliable and safe source, but I don't trust any resource pack or mod on Minecraft from whoever puts it out there. Unless its been put out by the producer of the specific game in question.
This is just a personal issue I deal with.
It doesn't seem like a lot of fun to me when I have to download something to enhance my gameplay experience.
The beautiful re-design of the Wynn map gripped my attention with such amazing detail and color.
I want something that's amazing, that doesn't need anything to make it better than what it already is.
I fell in love with the new map, and I loved it even more because it was so good just with the base Minecraft colors.
I personal enjoy the creativity that people can come up with, with what they have been given.

 

This has to happen. I would totally support this.
(I would have to somehow add it into chronicles of corruption then XD)

Mod-wise the real pressure is one when Gavel is released, and all of the nasty little fly hackers swarm in from Wynn itself as well as the publicity we will surely get!
