    I wish I had a better quality camera to take this picture...
    anyway, that's Shay Cormac, character from one of the Assassin's Creed game. Never played it myself, but a friend said to give it a shot so...

    well your light bulb probably emits a yellowish light, if you cast a shadow in front of a yellow light you get a purple-ish shadow.
