Inconsistency?

In the gavel expansion teaser, it said "for over a thousand years, the villagers have denied entrance to any non-native race..." But in the storyline it says "Just over a hundred years ago, a great stone empire flourished in the Wynn province." This is either an inconsistency in the storyline, or it means the villagers have kept "non-natives" out since long before the humans arrived. The only others would be enderman(?) from the Dern province. If the villagers were keeping them out, it means that Dern's corruption came from a different source than the Nether (the end maybe?).

 

The villagers are NATIVE to the land in gavel, however it does not mean they stopped any race coming into Wynn.
They were native to Gavel not Wynn.

The humans appeared ~130bva but the teaser said that the villagers kept gavel closed since roughly 1000 bva (bva is before villagers arrival to wynn)

 

We are talking about two different provinces here.

Humans so far have never been to Gavel (except GMs :/ ) and the villagers are finally opening their doors to humans but in the current lore, villagers arrived in Wynn.

So far humans are only in the Wynn province

Well, we're not the only ones on this world, are we? Many races obviously have settlements and stuff.

 

Both statements can be true, humans have been in wynn since a thousand years ago, a hundred years ago they banded together and made an empire of castles and walls.

One thousand years ago:
gavel doesn't let them in
humans appear/have been in wynn

A hundred years ago:
gavel still doesn't let them in
humans band together to make a flourishing empire

Now:
gavel let's people in
the empire kept growing

 

I agree - when I was making my video analysis that I never finished, I noticed that too. How come Gavel hasn't let them in for 900 years? The reason Gavel didn't open their doors from 100 years ago to now is because of the Corruption in Wynn - they didn't want it to come to Gavel.

So why wasn't it opened in the other 900 years?

 

I think it has something to do with the corruption now getting smaller in wynn but idk.

 

If you go further in the story line you can see the answer. Before the corruption there were evil mages and stuff. There was an magic elite with special powers that stopped them. One of them was Mael and one of them made nesaak snowy if im not wrong. Search it up its in the part of the house of twain.
