Gavel Skill Points Max Cap

    So, I was wondering if any of you guys new if the skill points cap would be raised with gavel, like, instead of being 70, would it be raised to 95???

    Huh...The level cap right now is 75 not 70. And yes the cap will be raised to 100 on the gavel update!

    No, I meant the cap for skill points, not actual levels :P

    it will be 100 but each point will be 0.7 so it will still be 70% (cuz 100 agility and 100 dex is too damn op)

    Since you get 2 skill points per level, that there gonna be 100 level (as has been said), then the total gonna be 200 skill points, use 100 agi and 100 dex, or 100 att 100 dex, etc... you will be op right? i'm sure the level cap will stay at 70%..

    100% atk and 100% dex is the same as 100% dex :wink:

    Well, nope.
    lets have some examples.
    A weapon that has 1 damage, you upgraded att to 100%, you will have 10 damage for that weapon (just example), and again upgraded 100% dex.
    so you will get 20 damage, since dex doubles the damage (10 x 2 = 20) :wink:

    Well, nope.
    Based on the wiki, the strenght skill points are ignored when you do a critical hit. Anyway if you have 1 damage and you have 100% boost to atk then you will only do 2 damage, not 10 damage. (You would need 900 points in strenght to get 10 damage xp)

    well you wont get that many more skillpoints, and it would be way too op, im pretty sure its not gonna be increased

    Did nobody pay attention to the fact that there's going to be 200 skill points, a max of 100 in a section, with 0.7% effectiveness per point? It was mentioned a while ago.

    Actually, that is 70% or 0.7x, not 0.7%.
    Currently, we can spread 148 skill points among the different skills. At 0.70x200 = 140 skill points, effectively. If the numbers stay this way, we are losing 8 real skill points. I really hope that the new skill point system is radically different from the current one in order to compensate for the loss of real ability in the form of skill points. Now, given that the new identification system apparently adds skill points to each skill, that may make up for the loss of 8 real skill points. We will have to wait until we know more about the new system before we can make any real comparisons, however, I'm not worried about it. With this much time to work on it, I am willing to bet that the new system will work quite well.

    I meant 0.7% per skill point, instead of the current 1%. Also, we will probably gain far more than 8 skill points, as shown by the mid tier weapons that had 4+ stars added

    It's not actually 0.7% per point. It starts at 1% per point just like before, but decreases as more points are put into a skill. 100 skill points gives you 70% in one skill. However... ah nah, nevermind. You guys always make me say too much. You'll see.

    making it with a diminishing returns mechanic is a nice touch

    Could you please tell me if its true that the skill points you have in strenght are ignored when you do a critical hit. (Because of your dexterity)

    From the wiki: 'Strength skill points are ignored if Dexterity activates; the skills do not stack. It is recommended to use one or the other exclusively'
