3d Models

Now, since a custom resource pack is coming to Wynn, and with the 3D models, do you guys think Wynn will update to 1.8?

 

The server is already updated to 1.8. Although it might technically be a lower version, you can still join with 1.8.

 

The server is a pseudo 1.8, which allows for 1.7 and 1.8 clients to join.

When Gavel rolls around, it may have to be 1.8 only, as I've heard people mention that the resourcepack will be required to play, and it's a 1.8 resourcepack.

why would you not want the resource pack?
It just adds to the already awesomeness of wynncraft by like 9236%

 

I'm not saying I don't, but If I don't like it, then I'll have to play on Wynn with the models and that wouldn't really be fun now would it? playing with a pack you don't like

 

The resource pack had better not be mandatory.

Not a big fan of the -[MANDATORY]- resource pack, but I guess there's really no way around it. If you're going to add a lot of different item models, you're going to have to use a lot of different items.

There's a way to detect if players are using the resourcepack. So if you don't enable resourcepack downloads for that server, then it simply won't let you play on the server.

 

Is there a reason why you won't allow us not using the pack?

 

I'm not sure, but I remember one of the admins talking about making the resourcepack required to play. Maybe the game wouldn't make any sense without it, or there's a way to cheat without using it?

you know there are public plugins that can already emulate attack speed
right

 

I know but i think 1.9 is easier

 

I know about this one, I was thinking of making some add-on to the pack when it comes out, but with this it's not possible

 

it is, but you're basically forced to use vanilla mcs lore format, not to mention im pretty sure plugins can go a lot faster and have support for more than just melee attacks
