Nether Armour Coming Back?

someone told me nether armor is coming back... is this true?

If this is true I will be able to hear the cries of the people who bought nether armor for stacks of LE that will sound out in Detlas while I'm all the way in a cave somewhere in Gavel.

 

i bought a full clean set for so much and i'm super angry now ...

They should add the old nether back, create a new pvp world portal and use the time gate, then replace the nether sign at the hub with a sign for the new pvp arena. This would make the actual nether portal more useful instead of just being there for lore's sake. Anyone else agree?

 

listen even im not really sure i didnt really understnad what i was told that Salted confirmed its coming back at some point

 

@Geronimo_r the old proof was deleted, it wasn't a large announcement; being posted on a thread about armor skins in the comments (be my guest if someone can find it if it wasn't deleted). Its not a surprise that all the mods dumped their sets for cheap... But don't take word from me, take word from the forums community, and any mods / builders if they'd like to clarify.

 

If they do they will probably make it different. And keep the old one the same so the entire fucking economy doesn't burn in HELL...

and push back the gavel release date another few years? It's already coming out it 2019, why should we make it take longer?

 

I don't entirely remember it, but I'm very sure Salted confirmed Nether armor would be making a comeback. If you've read all of the gavel spoilers Salted has been posting overtime, in one of them he mentioned "set armors". Basically if you wear armor that is part of a "set" it'll give you additional perks on top of the perks from each individual piece. In that post he showed a picture of what is currently a "special" armor set, the leaf armor. Nether armor is currently a "special" armor set, so it's a safe assumption that nether armor will become an "armor set" and will once again be obtainable without having to trade. Whether it'll be sold by a merchant or dropped by mobs is still unknown.

Yeah if all the mods come on and begin selling items that are very rare, don't buy in... the item will probably be coming back

 

This has already happened, about 6 weeks ago, or so. Anyone who spent any time in Detlas, S1, could not have missed the chat about Nether Armor, and the big sell-off of nether armor. The price of Nether Armor took a huge drop, already, because of speculation that the new armor and the old armor would be identical. As far as I know, no one has said anything about whether or not the new and old armors will be the same, or be different.

 

inb4 the new Nether Armour is different than old, and everyone sold the old, and precious, for cheap ;D

 

The only reason I would wear it is for vanity, otherwise its useless to me :c
