Gavel Texture Pack.

Tama said that gavel will enforce us the player to use a texture pack provided by the server.

Is this true? I really really don't wanna use any texture packs besides faithful.

yes although you will still be able to use another packs without the main one you won't be able to experience the whole thing i guess, bad move tbh

 

The reason is because otherwise Gavel will look really wierd, because the bosses use custom textures and a huge monster orc thingy will look like a silverfish.

 

You can turn it off

 

and make everything look like shit? yeah it's an option but not when you are not going to experience the same thing as the rest; they already said they were going to mess with some blocks, though i still hope it's just a few and not make an entire texture pack.

 

If they changed the weapons/ mobs I'm okay with this. but If blocks.. This will hurt.

 

you guys know you can just put any other texture pack over the wynncraft one (if there is going to be a download) that way everything changed with the wynn pack will be shown. if you just put another texture pack on it will edit everything that was not changed with the wynn one.

 

you just said it ''if'' ,but what if there is not; i don't really know how the whole combining texture packs work but i think if everything is changed in both rp's that have been combined it would just select random stuff from both of them right?

 

no. its hard to explain but if you have 2 texturepacks (for example one weapon pack and one normal texturepack) you can put the weapon pack on top of the recourepack selector and it will show the weapons or any block that has been retextured in the weapons pack. any unchanged blocks/textures from the weaponspack will be filled up by the 2nd texturepack so you can have weapons from one texturepack and blocks that are from faithful at the same time.

 

you can go to "server-resource-packs" in the game's files and use Winrar or 7zip and take all the files out, then make a new folder and put them all in. Then take then to resourcepacks, and open MC. it installs them into your game outside of the game.

Theres ways to get a server resource pack, its actually really easy

 

its gonna be the standard 16x16, so that people with toaster computers can still play

but with the 3D weapons they might no be able to idk

well we would first have to know if that is allowed ( in wynn's case)

 

it would be hard for them to find that out, and itd be pointless trying to, as long as they dont put secret stuff in there and maybe in a WIP save they should be fine
