When Will Minecraft Die? {remake}

Simple answer;
When the universe dies.

 

Its been 6 years since Minecraft was released, and hard to say, I'd say that the game will continue to be played by more than 20.9 million players worldwide, unless one day a new game similar to Minecraft that provides more playability and graphics captures the eyes of every gamer. Only then Minecraft will slowly decline, and face extinction, unless someone that is old enough to remember there was Minecraft way before then.

To compare Minecraft with the theories of life on Earth is similar.
Putting things this way, I'd say once life starts on any planet, it is very difficult for it to vanish. Thus, life is infinite.

Minecraft is, in a sense, the same.

You see-when Minecraft was officially released, the gaming community took a big hit. When Minecraft was in its golden times, there was at least 4 videos out of 5 that is about Minecraft, everytime I look at the featured "Gaming" sector on YouTube. Subscriber counts on Minecraft-gameplay related channels rocketed to millions. Minecraft PE was the No.1 most paid and bought game on Google Play and the App Store. Basically, when a game starts and instantly hits, it is very hard to die down. Mostly because the memories of Minecraft gaming will stay in one's mind, its very difficult to forget. After 6 years, the game has over 20 million players, and yet most of the gamers still play the game despite numerous critiscms online.

When life starts on any planet, no matter how many mass extinctions, volcanic catastrophes, pandemic outbreaks, mass forest fires, asteroid impacts, there is always that one sliver of life that is preserved. Life is infinite. Minecraft is, too.

The only reason why most games die as fast as they are made is because the developers themselves never update and upgrade them. They don't look for new possibilities to enhance gameplay, and that is why people get tired of playing it and quit. Games like Team Fortress 2 and Terraria, or simply FPS games, Call of Duty and CounterStrike:Global Offensive, or MMORPGS like League of Legends or DOTA 2, lives on despite the few years after they were made, because their developers or corporations find new ways to make people download and play. Minecraft is the same. Previously Mojang, and now, Microsoft, update the game so that people don't think "Fuck this shitty blocky game with exploding green bell peppers is boring" and quit. This is why people still play Minecraft now!

Life is the same-life finds new ways to spread, and populate a planet.



And in the end, Minecraft will hopefully never die.

 

Although many people are thinking that minecraft is going to die soon because of the new PvP systems and stuff like that, new players are just going to start their journey with that already implemented. It wont effect their game because they never knew what it was like before. Although i don't like the PvP update personally, there is nothing we can do, we just have to put up with it. If it sucks, it sucks. If it works, it works... simple as that.

 

It's not going to die

The game itself is way too big and is probably the number 1 seller game for kids. Not to mention all of the merchandise associated with Minecraft. Plus with Microsoft purchasing the game and involving some sort of new technology with it the game will probably go even higher soon.

When Terraria explodes in popularity. It hasn't happened quuuiiiiite yet.

 

Minecraft is a extremely LOVED game, and I don't think its gonna "die" soon, even with the weapons that will PROBABLY ruin PvP in 1.9

 

I always wonder why people complain about the new combat system. For me personally it wont affect my gameplay because I simply dislike PVP.
There is so much more what keeps Minecraft "alive", the creativity when creating minigames, building, small personal communities, MinecraftEdu (which is, as I think, one ost the greatest things coming from a computer game) etc..

 

Can't find Nether temple. So I xxxx it off.
(Plan to get all achievements with hard mode -Not hard core!- but ughhhh)

 

20+ Million people play Minecraft (some are alts, though). I'm sure it'll take a LONG time before Minecraft dies off. Games only stay if they're updated.

FUN FACT: 2015 was the first year that Minecraft didn't get a major update. So yeah, 1.9 is coming out next year. :(

 

The main reason a lot of people are complaining about 1.9 is mainly because PVP was changed. Some people worked really hard, and when they see how the combat has changed, they see how all their work is now worthless.

It's like when somebody is really good at Redstone, and then, one update changes everything about how Redstone is working.

If someone does not like PVP they probably wouldn't hate that update much.
