Thoughts On Gavel Teaser

So gavel teaser 13 is very interesting. Here is one big thing most people missed from it.

One of the weapons has no class requirement.
What.

If you think that is cool, mist of the weapons say their base and vip counterpart together, while the mage weapon is only for mage.

Salted said in the gavel q and a that there will be no NEW classes added to gavel. BUT WHAT IF THE VIP CLASSES ARE NOW ACTUALLY DIFFERENT CLASSES, NOT JUST RE-SKINS?!?!!!1!

I'm sorry for the un-professional feel of this, but I wrote thiscon my phone and just wanted to make a thread with a theory to think about. If you have any more info you think should be added please tell me.

 

Well if they are different classes then that would be violation of the Minecraft EULA. I don't think they tampered with the VIP classes unless it's pure cosmetic.

 

Perhaps some weapons are now shared between all classes as neutral weapons, simple as that :)
unless lluminarty is involved...

 

That may be simple, but is still a big deal.

I thought about this too, but notice how it is only the mage that has weapons only it can use. I have two theories on this.

1) dark wizard is now a free class
2) the vip class are now a sort of hardcore mode for masochists and people with a lot of spare time.

 

orrrrrrrrrr Its like that cuz they are still working on it... and they arent gonna make the dark wizard a free class. the vip classes are just reskins. no more.

 

I would think that they would only fully explain elements when they have it fully worked out, but we will see

 

Okay so I have actually been waiting for a thread like this to ask about this. In the teaser, right after it says "New Items" it shows the first picture of a Wolverine-esque weapon with claws, which is identical to a photo tweeted by the Wynncraft Twitter captioned "Soon."
Now I was not on the forums shortly before the wipe, so perhaps I missed a thread regarding this, but I would really like to know what this actually is.

(Since this is kind of a separate question from the main thread, should this be its own thread?)

 

I would recommend making your own thread on this, but my theory is this is a way of showing that they are getting more realistic about things. I think that this is a warrior and it shows how they are changing the way old items look to make them correspond to their class better

 

If you mean the first person view, I agree that the hammer is probably just a specific spear or something that was made to look like a hammer. If you mean the claws, however, that does not seem like a warrior item to me. Generally the claw braces and weapons that people use are only used in RPGs by Martial Artists and/or Rogues/Thieves

 

I bet it is one of those cool 3D items that is being made in the resource pack.

 

I was the first person to post this idea that they could be different on it.
