Guide ✴ Grinding Spot Analysis 2.0 ✴ #2: Fluxed Jungle Cave [levels 48 - 64]

Hello, everyone! Back with another GSA, sorry for it being delayed a bit, had lots of work to do over the weekend. Enjoy!

Here's the deal. Once a week, I will find a grinding spot to analyze and review. The grinding spot will be rated on these five factors:

Passivity - How hard do the mobs hit? ?/5

Spawnrate - How many mobs spawn there? Do they respawn quickly? ?/5

Convenience - How close is it from a town? Bank? An item buyer? ?/5

Uniqueness - What makes this area different? Increased xp gain? Loot chests? Rare items? ?/5

Location:

Coordinates are -570 66 -612. To get to this grinding spot, you must first cross the Great Bridge, and into the Jungle. The entrance should look like this.

This grinding spot consists of all parts of the Fluxed Cave.

Passivity: 2/5

These mobs hit hard. And by that, I mean really hard. One hit from these guys and you've already lost around 2 hearts, with average armor for people around level 56. Beware of the special Magical Flux that guards the heart of the cave; it uses a ranged fireball attack that can deal 1-3 hearts of damage to you. The level 59 Herb Spawns will also be a large pain, with them having ~500 health and dealing 1-3 hearts. There aren't that many of them in the cave, though, and only spawn in the middle. There are several camping spots to use. One being this:



and another being the heart of the cave, which has many different areas to camp in.




Spawnrate: 5/5

Spawnrates are really high in the Fluxed Cave. Don't even try to argue with me on this one, it's a fact. If you happen to have no mobs in the area you're at, try a different portion of the cave. It's most likely been packed full of mobs for you by then.



Convenience: 4/5

It's a little out of the way, but a quick 2 minute run will get you back to Troms, ready to drop your legendaries in the bank and sell the useless uniques you came across while grinding. Unless you're really that short on time, convenience will never be an issue.

Uniqueness: 5/5

There are 2 Tier II loot chests, and 2 Tier III loot chests in this area. I have shown you the first two chests in the Passivity section, so you can look back at it and find it. The other two chests are in this upper area of the cave, which requires some parkour (or travel spells!) to reach.

Along with that, xp drops are around the high 200's. Jungle Slimes, Herb Spawn, Jungle Fetishes, and Rotten Zombies all spawn in this cave, as well as a special mob, which, to my knowledge, cannot spawn anywhere else. The Magical Flux.

The Verdict?

Overall, 10/10. It's a must-have place to grind at in the 50's.

Are you kidding me right now.

 

;w; I'm doing the ranges based off of the weakest mob to the strongest mob in the area. 48 isn't recommended, because of the...er... amounts of higher-leveled enemies, and by level 64, you've probably already moved on to the Herb Spawn cave or similar. I suppose I should have clarified that.

 

Whenever i grind here, there's always someone else. Kind of sucks because many others here as well and just kill steal.

I started little earier than that level. (70 def sorry!)

Bump, I need my ten posts. Awesome guide as usual, I grind in this spot often.

 

For the longest time, I thought this was herb spawn cave xD

 

I'm a warrior with insane defense (almost 99% damage reduction) and these guys do almost no damage to me, even at level 50. I once tried to help a Mage get to the Tier III Loot Chests and he got 1 shot... he was level 54...

 

Lol rip as a level 42 I go to herb cave it's the best grinding spot I know,XD it takes a while to kill the mobs as a Mage though

 

You shouldn't be grinding there at such a low level. Each level away from a mob you are, the less likely you will get xp from it. I would suggest grinding in Nesaak for your level.

 

Or u could just dungeon rush at that lvl range, i did that to get past the lvl 40 range quickly

 

Nesaaks to boring, though I still get XD from the caves normally like a 50/50 chance to get XD for me, and then I get a small bit of my Xp bar up, so it's good enough

 

I use this grinding spot all the time with my level 53 archer, so I mostly knew all of these things. Still a good job summarizing the spot!

I think you should also note that players will be common there, though not as common as Herb Cave, will usually be present there.

 

This is going to need a major redo when Gavel comes out.. Overall good information. Nice! ;P
