War Scream

How many hits does a war scream's projectile do at maximum?

On a slightly off note, how is elemental damage calculated for spells (like how war scream does air damage even if im using a neutral weapon)?

 

I've tested it, and it seems like 8 hits at point-blank range.

 

Spells do a certain percent of elemental damage on top of their spell damage, meteor for example does 400% spell damage and 30% of both fire and earth damage at its third tier.

 

Thats too much math, id rather just blow stuff up and not care about the math behind it.
