Unknown Host!

Hello, guys. I played on server a long time. But now if i want connect to server minecraft write me: "unknown host. Can't resolve hostname"

What me do?

 

Keep trying to connect. That error means that, usually, the server host that runs WynnCraft is having an issue.

 

You can also try to connect to:
node7.wynncraft.com

 

Make sure you don't have a space in the server IP at the beginning.

 

You're not supposed to.

Make sure you are in 1.8, make sure you're using the right ip.

 

I don't remember who, but someone was told by a staff member to use the node7 ip when they couldn't join the normal ip.

 

I can confirm this. If we aren't supposed to use that address, I would like to know for certain, so that we can stop suggesting it.

You should be connecting to play.wynncraft.com. If and only if your problem is a connection issue, and you've already tried a few times to connect to play.wynncraft.com, you can try connecting to specific nodes (such as node7).

If you are able to connect to play.wynncraft.com, then use it.

Don't connect directly to any nodes unless you absolutely have to. If you simply aren't seeing the MOTD in your server list, then refresh or just try to connect.

EDIT:

If anyone is wondering why I keep saying not to connect directly to a node:

1. It means you are bypassing the load balancing system. If everyone starts connecting to node7, then node7 will end up overloaded and other nodes underutilized.
2. If we need to restart a node or take it offline, we remove it from the main play.wynncraft.com address, wait a few hours until no one is on it anymore, then we take it down. If you happen to connect directly to that node, you'll end up being disconnected out of nowhere.
