Story/plot Question

As we know from the letters written by Bob, he presumably used his life force to seal away a Beast that was threatening to destroy the world. Now, we can assume said beast to be either the Eye, or something currently in Dern. Either way, it does not matter, because the question I have stays the same:

Could the powerful soul we have to sacrifice to open the EO and enter be actually to break a seal? And if so, could it be said seal that bob created?


Just some random thought I have been having.

 

For the past few days I have been thinking about possible Dern ideas. I finally came up with the idea that Bob had to sseal away the portal from the inside, sealing himself in as well. Then I brainstormed a quest chain involving the now very old Bob, as well as the "Dern Monster".

Oh, and the Dern monster? I gave him a name. Herobrine.
