How Hard Is This ?

So Iam going to try out for the wynncraft build team but how hard is it to get in ?

 

you have a better chance to get a mythic than get on the team

All you need to be is a good builder, or at least be good enough to be able to use your builds to compliment another person's builds... along with that, you will have to be of a certain skill level... aim for the type of builds you see in game, but maybe turn it down just a little bit. And then after that, you take a picture of your build, and then submit it, along with an application! If you are denied, then I would suggest waiting about a month, and keep practicing to more perfect your skills!

But hey, this is just some advice from someone who isn't and hasn't been a builder... I would suggest just starting off by posting pictures of your builds (in thread form) on the forums, so people can critique, and help you out!

Trying out for the build team is like trying out for your highschool basketball team when you're a 5'8 guard and everyone else trying out is a 5'8 guard.

 

You have 2 options.
1. Know a lot of builders in game or one irl and be good enough to get in.
2. Be way better than you need to be to get in.
Secret option 3. Apply, wait 6 months. Get denied.

 

How to become better at building:
-Watch or read tutorials
-Watch speed builds or block by black tutorials (to learn techniques)
-post builds on "your work"
-Read over the criticism and improve

 

You generally need to have an "advanced" skill level to get in. Unfortunately advanced techniques take lots of practice. grian's tutorials will show you some beginner techniques and a few shortcuts to get better end results, but shortcuts only get you so far.

 

You really gotta stand out, the wynncraft build team is made of ELITE builders, I mean just look at what they have done, and how detailed it is. Every quest has insane buildings, creativity, and they are barely noticed because you get so used to having amazing builds.

You really, for one, need to have a portfolio of builds you have personally create (atleast one of my friends I knew got into another build team this way), and he was insane at building, he had an open mind and was highly creative.

You gotta be that, its like being an artist, you have to have ideas, and know how to put them into minecraft. And also, you have to REALLY want to get in, as the build team here is the Ivy League of build teams.
