Help With Quest

So I'm in the middle of doing Creeper Infiltration, and I kill the boss past the point where it is firing enderpearls at you quickly and drops a bunch of emeralds. It disappears and I cant find it. I go back to the person who I got the quest from and it says that I don't have what it asked for. What to do? Does the boss have another stage after the one where it drops a bunch of emeralds? I started the quest and then logged off for the night, so now I don't know what the person is asking for.

 

it is a single phase boss you just need the pigman hide it is the pigman in golden armour with a spawner cage on it's head
also 1.13 breaks things

 

So I just need to get back to the person before they reappear?

 

If you're in 1.13, then switch back to some previous update (1.12 or something).

Anyway, the boss should not be firing Enderpearls, it should be a pigman with a spawner cage on its head like BloodArchmage said. If you just follow the wall (I think at least) on the right after exiting the village, then you should eventually reach the ramp where you climbed to get the Creeper Skin. After passing the ramp, turn left at the next intersection, and there should be a big place with fires, tons of pigman, and a cave somewhere where the Pigman Overlord (what you need to kill) resides.

 

i forgot to tell that the boss was melee not cancer (i hate ranged mobs) .-.

 

I was in the completely wrong area, oml. I was fighting a temporal thing before.
