Assassin/Ninja Help Endgame Build

Specialist is only really decent with a tank build, or to supplement a build with a damage type you don't have, adding 50% more of a damage when you already have +650% doesn't really do much

 

i never said it was good m8. i said it was better than roulette

 

Specialist
80*7.5 = 600
Roulette
66*10.1 = 666.6

That's the maximum damage either of those can do
Now correct me, and all of math, if I'm wrong, but 666.6 is a larger number than 600, so Roulette can do more damage
Specialist also just kind of sucks since you have to use ~20le of powders on it to get that damage, whereas Roulette requires 0le to do that damage, you just have to acquire it

I speak from experience
Roulette is a steaming crap once you reach even mid 80s
Specialist with max or near max thunder and some dex boosts can pump out low hundreds to 2kish dps
now that's not counting per hit but with 2t6s and som dex and a 650% specialist and if you're using a specialist with high thunder you should probs pair that with a thunder setup
so spin attack will pump out many thousands of damage and melee will be decent
so roulette < specialist because specialist is better for spells and decent damage

 

Sorry to say, but %melee and %elemental damage work additive instead of multiplicative.

Meaning that the formula for roulette's max damage = 5.45 x 33 x 3 (455% thunder damage on the 33 thunder damage, 455% melee damage on the 33 thunder damage and 455% melee damage on the 33 melee damage.) = 539,55 --> 540

(I use a 441% melee damage, 448% thunder damage roulette in game and the damage here seems more like it.)
+ the specialist can have a charged special

So yeah....
Than again, let's not forget that there's an 18 level difference in between these two items.
