Tell me Wynncraft, what is the damage difference between a level 89 legendary dagger vs a level 89 common tiered item? Especially when you're comparing a common item to a legendary one? Both of which have the same level? Oh what's that? But Alazarin can go up to 30% xp bonus and 700 health bonus? Well guess fucking what? That's not enough, because other classes have legendary items that do way more damage and give you stat bonuses. You still don't believe me? Well guess what Wynncraft. Considering that Empire Builder deals 10-35 damage and has 8 powder slots, I would say that 250-300 damage and 5 powder slots will be just as, if not more, powerful. I mean, what did you think was up with items like Cerid's Dynamo or the Hive Infused weapons?

Even aside from the powder slots, it is obvious that Alazarin is a fairly defensive/XP focused weapon besides, all things given. And if you notice, many defensive or XP-related items have slightly lower than normal stats. Combine with the bulky five powder slots, and...

 

no one really uses defensive stuff though (sadly)

 

Actually the point of this letter is to address spell damage. It seems as though I have failed to make that clear. Spell damage just adds on neutral damage and then whatever neutral damage the weapon has. So when you have an item like cross road killer, it does immense amounts more damage than other weapons that should be doing more damage. That means chakram does a tiny bit more damage than rewind... I evened out my skill points and tests it.

Oh yeah also how does 5 powder slots translate into 250-300 extra damage? Does it just say that somewhere?

 

I was hoping we could last at least half a year without a staff member saying that in a format that isn't a joke.

Oh, excuse me. I remembered Alazarin's damage wrong; I thought it dealt 250-300 damage at base(it actually deals 180-300). Again, I state that it is far more of a defensive item than most, because, if you regard its +110 Health Regen Raw...practically no item has that level of power. That is an extremely useful identification, in addition to its 8% blanket element defense, +500 health bonus, and 23% XP bonus averages. I assure you, the powders, once they are released, will make it far more useful than it even is now, but it is far from as terrible as you say it is. You are just looking at the wrong aspects.

 

Thank you for explaining how powders work a little better, but Alazarin isn't the only weapon that concerns me. I stated that spell damage itself is unbalanced. And a lot of weapons, armors, and builds revolve around spell damage. If I have 800 spell damage, and use cross road killer. I am adding 800 damage to the neutral damage in cross road killer. I wear cancer, and boom. I'm doing massive amounts of damage, more than the highest level legendary.

 

Well that is a concern with the system itself rather than the item.
