Bob's Name Theory(ish)

Sorry if this is posted in the wrong section, couldn't find one that fits this thing I found... No huge spoilers ahead, don't worry.
So, I recently entered Ragni's Secret Library (a secret discovery) and read all about Bob's Legend.
Now, what I will be referring to is that his name used to be Robert before he changed it to Bob. A girl told him it fitted him better.
"So what?", I hear you ask.
Well, I have been a Bob Dylan fan for a long time now, and most of us Dylan fans know that he was born Robert, and changed it to Bob later on. So, basically, I think his name is supposed to be a Dylan reference. That might not mean a lot to you, but I fucking love Bob Dylan, so I am really hyped when I think about this. Also if it's true, the developers of the server have +1 more reason to be considered freaking amazing (putting every other amazing thing on the server else aside).

PS: I used to make fun of Bob's name with my friends because when you hear about an ancient hero who saved a whole continent, you expect more of a fabulous, long, elegant name - not just the plain old "Bob". Hueh.

you might be right about that but i mean im pretty sure Robert --> Bob isnt that uncommon of a thing so

Actually, no. Bob Dylan actually legally changed his name. His birth name was Robert Allen Zimmerman.
