i prefer either bunk, might switch between two on occasion. it’s more or less how the bed is and how much space i actually have vertically so i don’t donk my head

But on bottom bunk you might hit your head on the top bunk... Depending the distance between top and bottom

usually there's more room from the bottom to the top then the top to the ceiling, in my experience

you just need a good enough bunk bed

the bunk bed i had when i was young extended all the way to the ceiling
