Crabs are like cats, they run away from you and claw you when you get close, but you still have to love them.

Yes, but there's a big difference between cats and crabs. Cats live in your house as a pet, most likely with a name, so you learn to forgive them if they claw/scratch you.

Crabs are wild creatures that live on beaches and have no emotional attachment to you at all. Therefore, if a crab hurts you, you'll most likely not forgive or love it afterwards.

Even so, pet crabs are fairly rare as pets, and they mostly stay in a glass box/terrarium (similar to how fish stay in fish tanks). They cannot wander around the house, therefore reducing the emotional attachment with you and the crab.
