i mean a lot of people are calling 2016 an awful year because it was super mentally exhausting for them but yeah celebrity deaths i guess

well, if you're saying it's a shit year on a personal level, that's understandable.

however, generalizing the overall status of the entire year based on a few celebrity deaths and/or the election is ridiculous.

also i'm pretty sure more people say "fuck 2016" based on celebrity deaths, the election, etc instead of on a personal level.

I mean obviously its all about perspective, the people I hang out with tend to be just as much of a mess as I am which means there are more people who had a rough year.
But there definitely are people upset about elections and celeb deaths, but honestly it doesn't bother me that much? I'm personally super upset Carrie Fisher passed away after apparently being in a stable condition, but that's not the point here lmao
