actually given the context of the statement, "my nose will now grow" means that "at the moment I am saying these words, my nose will grow". and, it doesn't, so it is a lie. thus his nose would subsequently grow, but that does not retroactively cause the previous statement to become a truth as at the moment he said it, his nose did not grow; it was only after he said it that it occured.
