        Alkevo's special ability is to self destruct, and he won't drop the required shard if he does. The fight is more about killing the boss as quickly as possible, instead of outlasting it- the running feature might have been incorporated into its AI.

        The problem is, I am actually laying constant damage on him, but he runs anyway. The only time he aggresses on me is when I first log on, and then I'm temporarily frozen while loading resource pack, so the most damage I've done to him is like 1k.
