Gavel 3d Models.

Ok so were should I start. Well I don't like this whole 3d model thing. Why you may ask? well I love the simplicity of wynncraft and how simple it is. I love the zombies in armor and the skeletons with swords! I don't want any of that to change. I also love the simple stick for mage and the bow for archer. Ok let me cut straight to the point here. as @Grian said something like " would you rather have a fully baked pie than a half cooked sloppy one?". Well this is what I have to say to that. Would you rather have a simple done pie with maybe a bit of bacon and chicken or would you want an over cooked burnt pie with 100000000 flavours that tastes like burnt sick!
Please answer my Question above!

 

Well tbh i like the idea of 3D models....

 

Simplicity gets really boring really fast, sorry that you have an unpopular opinion, but, the builders/ GMs are trying to make Wynncraft feel like its own thing, the custom mobs allow for much more variety rather than just zombies and skeletons x1000, the weapon models also allow for a way to tell the difference between weapons.

That simple done pie is good, but its going to get boring after a long time.

 

As Wynncraft is constantly improving, you will have to see thingns from amother light. Simplicity only is good for so long!

 

The scariest thing in life, i'd say, is change. I know you want things to stay like it was/still is, but if we keep Wynncraft in its current state forever, we will lose more players and Wynncraft as a whole won't evolve. Bringing in 3D models creates a whole new element in boss and mob fights, and this will/should bring in more players to enjoy the admins hard work for the server.
With the weapons, think of it this way, no two people are the same, and most likely won't have the same names. With the weapons, no two weapons are the same. A Legendary isn't the same as a Rare, so why should they have the same skin? They aren't the same.

TL;DR 3D Models will make Wynncraft better.

 

Well, I'd rather have a majestic pie wich looks amazing and different from all the others than a normal pie, wich everyone else has too.

You can tag builders and i think that rule is only for "General Suggestions" and _pls calm down a bit :P

Honestly, after playing for two years the default texture pack gets boring, and you start to add texture packs to make the game better, but there is never one really good texture pack, i think that 3D models will be a great way to make the texture pack even better, plus the fact that most items will have a 3D texture makes it fun and enjoyable... kind of like Pale1's texture pack (for reference) as all the legendary items have a different texture, but the official one will be 3D... I think that the official texture pack is going to make the game a lot better and give it that little bit of spice that tells you, "huh this isn't just minecraft... its WYNNCRAFT!"

 

Well, that's what I call a dilemma, since Grian is both a builder and an admin.

 

You can tag anyone, as long as it's not a suggestion, if it's just a random post then you can tag any type of staff member!

 

This hole 3D models thing is definetly a good idea, not only ause it's what I like to do. As I see you might do not like it; Im assuming you are against it because you seem a newbie player, Im sure that old players
(+1 Year ) will really appreciate this feature.
Well, Im pretty excited for it but I can understand you're not, perhaps could be a toggeable thing. Or it will be fixed?

 

I have played Minecraft for four years, and the default texture pack has never bored me.

And for the record, I would like a strawberry rhubarb pie.

 

I have no idea what strawberry rhubarb is lol :P

2) EW (but that's just my opinion you can just eat it)

3D textures can be a problem for many people, as they may not have a decent computer as they play and cannot handle the 3D textures. Maybe the crew can add an argument for the /toggle command for 3D textures...

Myself, I have a decent computer.
As long as you get 60+ FPS without OptiFine, you're good to go!

 

The resource pack won't lag.
The reason some packs lag is because of their size. Most RP's are 32x32, some 64x64 and some up to 128x128 or 256 256..(Pixel by Pixel) while the vanilla is 16x16. If you need to load more pixels, it could lag, yes. But I'm fairly certain the RP is either 16x16 (0 added lag ontop of the standard minecraft) or 32x32, which is standard RP territory, and will, if at all, drop your frames by up to like 2 fps, which is an unnoticeable amount.

There will be NO severe lag because of the RP. Not even a little bit. A tiny, tiny but maybe.

 

When I downloaded a community made 3D pack, I would drop to 10 fps for 1 second every 3 seconds.. I have a great computer too.. Intel i5 4460, gtx 970, 16 GB RAM. I hope the new textures don't do this.

 

Why do you need 16GB of ram?
