The voice you heard goes silent. You can't see anything. The silence continiues for about a minute. Then, you chear a door opening. Suddenly, you see again. But where's the door? Where's the voice? What happened? You stand up. All you can see is the dark skies and the buning forest around you. You can also see a book by your feet. You open it. It seems to be a book about you. It's got everything about you. But what's written inside is up to you. The Dark Lands of Kalena call, and you are one of the few that can help.


Welcome to yet another RP in the Forum Games section. Why is this different? Here are some features I haven't seen in other RPs (not saying they don't have them) :

• Questing - Help a townsfolk out and maybe you'll get a coin or two
• Unique Weapons - Bash an enemy, or bash an enemy with a better weapon
• Dungeons - Hard, but rewarding
• Classes & Spells - At least I can tell who's who now
• Unique Items - Maybe this compass will lead me to my destination?
• Shops - Oi! Lookin' for a sack o' 'taytoes?
• Add more (maybe?)...

Quests:

Quests can be aquired by talking to random people that you find on your journey through Kalena, except for other forum people playing. You'll be given a task and then you have a choice, weather to do it or not. If you decide not to do it, you can come bak to this quest later. If you do decide to do it, the NPC will tell you what to do. If you succeed and return to the quest giver, you'll recive a reward. Quests can be anything, from beating a high-level dungeon to just killing a frog. But remember, if the quest is hard, it doesn't mean that the reward will be big. e careful when making your choice!

Dungeons:

Dungeon is pretty much what you'd think a dungeon is - kill enemies, do puzzles, kill obss, get paid. However, some dungeons may require a special item of some sort. The item may not always be a key, it might aswel could be stick or a piece of shattered glass. Once a dungeon is finished, no other player can do it again.

Classes & Spells

The only a class determines is what spells you get. The spells are the real deal. They can do anything, from putting a hole right through your enemy to summoning a bolt of light that shoots the direction you need to go to. A charracter can only have 4 spells at a time, so if you want to get a new spell, and your spell count is 4, you'll have t discard one.
You can eanr spells by killing enemies, buying some from the shop, finishing dungeons and doing quests.

Reputation:

Reputation can be earned by doing good or bad. By doing good, you'll get the good kind of reputation. By doing bad, you'll get the bad kind of reputation. Reputation determines how nice the NPCs are to you, what prices will the shops have and what rewards you get from finishing quests.

Multiple Characters:

If you want to have more than one character, you must get the Soul Gem. You can keep it for later, or you can activate it and create another character that will stand by your side in Kalena. You can have up to 3 characters in total, so if you get a spare Soul Gem, trade it to another player! The Soul Gems can only be earned by beating dungeons.

Specialities

The speciality of your character is another thing that determines what spells you get. For example, a Paladin with Illusion wil lnot have the same spells as a Paladin with Enchantment. Whenever you activte a Soul Gem, your main character gains a new Speciality, giving them a new variaty of spells.

Make an ally more brave. This means, no matter how afraid they were, they aren't now. Can't be cast on self.

Mer has read the book. He's quiet impressed. Who could've written this? There isn't a big choice now. You run through the forest, until you find a house carved inside of a big mushroom. A light can be seen inside.

Hernan, as soon as he's read the book, sees a weird kind of dog feasting upon a soldier not far from him.

The inside is in a bad condition. The light is coming from a lamp by a bed. In the bed sleeps an old lady. Her sleep isn't interrupted by you.

As you gain back your sight, you can see a gang of imps surrounding you. There are at least 7. They do not look friendly or agressive.

2. Try to escape
3. Stay where you are

You aproach the creature. Once you get close enough it instantly jumps at you. It's definately agressive. Combat has started. You may now cast spells and attack with your weapons.

"INTRUDER!" she screams as soon as she sees you. Suddenly, out of one of the lockers a dog-sized bear jumps out. The lady and the bea are agressive. Combat has started. You can now cast spells and attack using your weapons.

The lady casts Chill Touch on you. You can't move.

One of the imps is trying to take your crossbow away.

1. Take it back
2. Let him have it
3. Run
4. Attack

Choose a Spell:

Posion Spary
Poision an enemy. They will take damage until the posion effect wears off. If an ally is close to thetarget, they will be hit too.

Wounding Coil
Shoots a coil that wounds the target and inflicts bleeding damage.

 

Use Ray of Sickness as soon as I can move again.
(you forgot to add my spell into my character information :P)

 

I take it back gently and without brutality to not offend him/them, and saying to this imp "Hey, This crossbow is in my property you know..."

 

While you were frozen the bear jumped at you and wounded your right hand with his claw. You are bleeding.

You cast Ray of Sickness on her. She is a witch, so she has resistance against the spell. She now has the common cold.

The witch runs to a corner of the room.

The imp doesn't let go easily but you get the crossbow. All of them are screeching at you now. They definately did not understand what you just said.
