Minecraft: Story Mode Episode 1 Due This October!

Hello!

You probably remember us talking about Minecraft: Story Mode back in December. It’s a narrative driven adventure made by Telltale Games which takes place in the world of Minecraft. Read on, crafter, because we finally have a release date!


The first Episode of Minecraft: Story Mode will be released on Tuesday October 13th this year. It’ll be called “The Order of The Stone” and will almost definitely be the best thing to happen in the whole of that month.

One of my favourite things about Story Mode is that you get to choose which type of Jessie – the main character – you want to play as, regardless of gender or look. That’s the first time any Telltale game has let you do that; it’s great that we can represent our playerbase so well.



Minecraft: Story Mode will be available on Xbox consoles, PlayStation consoles, PC, Mac, iOS, and Android-based devices. Wii U and Playstation Vita versions are also in the works, but they’ll release a bit later on.

the outfits look absolutely ridiculous

 

So being some random original superhero based on what you created in the Skin Editor trying to save the day is a better story than this? A story is supposed to have set characters and a proper storyline, not some randomly generated story that is whatever you want it to be because you're the player and you can tell the story in your own image. Also, you're hating on it before the game is actually out. Once the first episode is out and you've played through the entire episode, you can speak your mind about it, but for now, quit airing your dirty laundry out this early. Air it out once you've finished the first episode.

 

He isnt hating, just because he doesnt like the character design doesn't mean he hates on the game. There is no need to overreact, just because you like it doesnt mean they have to do so too. But I have to agree the characters look hideous.

 

The white female looks brain dead, and all the females have weirdly elongated heads that don't make sense :/

They also don't have the "Alex" arm formatting, (3 pixels wide) They just look bulkier and less human than the male counterparts.


Also, what's the monster on the box art supposed to be? A pixelated Wither with spheres for heads?

 

A new boss mob that is exclusive to Story Mode perhaps.

 

I seriously hope they have references to the MC credits. Because that shit is DEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEP.

 

Not too sure about Telltale doing this, doesn't really seem "them".

I sincerely hope this becomes the next "CD-I" game. By this I mean a game that is so absolutely horrible that its laughable.

 

Don't hate on it before it comes out. Play through it and then complain about what's wrong with it.
(And don't say things that were already seen in the teaser trailer.)

Again, don't hate on it before it comes out. Sure they should've done a better job with the teaser, but don't judge the entire 5-episode game on just one small teaser trailer.

 

I don't understand, why would you make a story-telling game about a game that has no story?

 

Because they feel like it.
