The Unofficially Official Pokemon Hype Train! Latest News: Pokemon Sun And Moon Coming Holiday 2016!

Hello and welcome to the Pokemon hype train! This thread is for the discussion and general hype of anything Pokemon-related.

Things to be hyped about:

• SUPER MYSTERY DUNGEON: Next Mystery Dungeon Game, releases October in NA, early 2016 for EU. Looking awesome, never played Mystery Dungeon myself and I get to finally join in on the fun!
• Pokenn Tournament!: That all new rad Pokemon Tekken fighter thing! Coming to the WiiU in Spring 2016!
• New Zygarde Forms: Zygarde has a bunch of new forms: Blob, Blob with a red thingy, Dog, and Decepticon. Hopefully this indicates Pokemon Z... because what else would this mean?
  
• Pokemon Go!: A new mobile app that will allow you to play Pokemon in the real world. Basically that April Fools' Day prank they did come into reality. It's going to be using some weird accessory called a "Pokemon Go Plus" that'll allow you to do stuff like throw pokeballs, but this is looking pretty cool!
• Pokemon's 20th Anniversary: Event Distributions every month, starting this month with Mew! Also an eShop game called Detective Pikachu.
• A new pokemon called Magiana!
• POKEMON SUN AND MOON! These two games are coming Holiday 2016. That's about all we know, but it's still something to get hyped for.

 

And thus it is reborn.

What about the hoopa hype

 

Hoopa will be in every Battle Spot battle when it's released unless it's banned in BS.

I know for sure it's gonna get banned either to Ubers or AG in Smogon, especially Unbound.

But I'm kinda hyped for the release of a new Pokemon leaked in the past that connects with ORAS' storyline.

Actually, Hoopa-U is still in OU. Turns out it was extremely overhyped, since it's extremely fragle (can't switch in for shit) and it's mediocre speed allows it to get revenge-killed very easily.

Hoopa-C is trash. Down to UU.

 

This game is amazing to see. I have played Ingress, seen how it was played, and I can say that the Ingress engine would work perfectly with Pokemon! A raid (which means you can find legendaries with everyone), battle tournies with phones (which makes competitive pokemon easier) and EXERCISE (easy to see why i'm good).

Bassicly, I need this.

What about the TCG? ;-;

 

Okay, I'm as hyped as anybody, but Pokemon go WONT be like the trailer. The features? Yeah, it'll be in. You can battle, catch, trade, and participate in raids. That's simple. When you see the CGI though, don't be deceived. Right now, this is what it looks like,

Doesn't look as amazing, but it's great for an iPhone app. Anyone here play Ingress? I used to, and that game was pretty much wireframes and basic two colors. The CGI was apparent in that trailer there too. It's still an amazing game! So the game will be great, but don't think the graphics will be as good in here.

But God, GOOGLE GLASS WOULD BE AMAZING WITH THIS.

 

But there'll still be the element of actually walking to a location to find a wild pokemon, and that's already pretty cool. Wish it could do an augmented reality thing, but it'd be difficult to make sure Pokemon stayed on the ground, unless you wanted your Pikachu floating 10 feet in the air or something. They probably could've done something a bit cooler with VR, but I guess if they were going for Pokemon in the real world, then this was the best they could settle for.

 

You're all forgetting one major fact:

Junichi Masuda will be working on this game.

This is huge. The fact that a main developer is putting in work on a "side game" means that it's gonna be great. Already I have pretty high hopes for this game now.

 

Don't forget, this is also by the guys who made Ingress! Also, don't worry: 4chan is ready to be Team Rocket IRL.

I'm so unsure about how to feel about this.
Apparently Larry (the blob) is the true Zygarde, and multiple Larrys combine to make 10% Zygarde, 50% Zygarde, or 100% Zygarde...
so basically Zygarde goes from a blob to a dog to a snake to a Decepticon.
K then GameFreak.

Also Ash's Greninja gets a new look or something???

 

Well hey, at least it isn't a completely hopeless and trash legendary now.

 

For you wondering, it's basically how Cell from DBZ works.

Also, for why it's a dog to a snake to a Decepticon, the /r/pokemon people said that it's based off of Loki's children in Norse mythology - Fenrir (dog), Nidhoggr and/or Jörmungandr (snake), and Hel (decepticon).

Larry is basically a single cell, which fuses together. If it's a red hex, it's the brain. If it's a green hex, it's a part of the body, which fuses with red hexes.
