if you unblur the map you find that someone was doing a puzzle of the map of wynn and is also a total idiot and put the corruption in the top right

So, I'm looking at the latest Gavel teaser, and I'm suddenly struck by the bright image on the door "that has remained locked for over 1000 years". To me, it looks like a stylized image of a villager. In the annotated image, below, here is what I see: 1) eyebrows and eyes, 2) nose, 3) shirt/outer garment, 4) hair, 5) ears, 6) beard/mouth, and 7) hands/shoulder epaulets. If you wanted to keep people from using a door, other than just locking it, a large, scary image of a deity or a fighter on the door would work very well.

I didn't place a note on this, however, the green decorations around the doors look like pairs of scrolls, and just above them, on both sides, those "blocks" look like angry creepers.

Wow, I think that you are way confused. I always thought that the blurred image was only to show the size of Gavel compared to the province of Wynn. If you have unblurred it, and can tell for certain that it is a jumble of the Wynn province map, you've given almost everyone, as far as I know, some new information.

I don't believe that Grian is an idiot, and I would have been surprised if he, or anyone else, had actually used a copy of the real map of Gavel for that image. Unblurring is a common function in plenty of imaging packages, so why be stupid and use an actual Gavel map that would quickly be unblurred, and give away that much information about Gavel?

As far as the placement of "the corruption", as the image can now be said to be only for size comparison, it's a silly comment. This isn't a map of Wynn, nor a map of Gavel, it's just a comparison image, as you have confirmed in your post. That's something new. Now we know that the "corruption" could have been put anywhere, as this isn't a real map of Gavel, and indeed, the 'corrupted'* part of Gavel, the part that is the most dangerous, could be in the far east of the Gavel province, or anywhere else..

*We already know that Gavel has no corruption, but we do know that there is evil or dangerous magic there. So, what do we call the most evil or dangerous part of a magical province?

 

well there are three consonants in Gavel, and three sides to a triangle, Gavel is Illuminati.

 

I like how that map was a real map of gavel.
