Welcome to the guide on how to suck all the fun out of a minigame by distilling it into an exact science-I mean you can get win more games for the mythic trinket. Why do we do this to ourselves.

    Spirits
    Spirit selections:
A game starts with selecting spirit. All these new cool abilities diligently coded by wynncraft's dev team, surely you're so happy to try them all. Use the crossbow, that's the only spirit I personally still find useful when people know its abilities.

    • Spirit strategy: Find the three closest wells and patrol between them. As survivors need to power 5 wells to banish you, with a total of 7, you just need to stop 3 wells. If you see a spirit well powered partially with no survivors near, immediately check any lockers nearby, then sabotage the well. Always remember to stop and check for veil of deception unless you're chasing someone.

Wells: Memorize the percentage of power every well has. A survivor powers a well at 0.8% (assuming they don't have perks) per second, so if you check back on a well and see it's been powered faster than that, more than 1 survivor was here. Check the wells upstairs as survivors often frequent them believing in safety.

Chasing: Learn to predict people's movements when chasing them instead of running after them mindlessly. Always try to cut corners when chasing because the hypotenuse of a triangle is always shorter than the sum of the base and perpendicular. Stay in school kids it makes you better at Minecraft.

Being evil: Make sure to make the most out of the survivors. Down them all 3 times to maximize points, which also means that if you have 3 downed and killing the last guy ends the game, might wanna make the last guy revive his teammates so you can kill them again.

How to play my favorite, Vermin: Don't put your burrows anywhere people can see, hide them around corners near beacons. Remember you only need to patrol 3. When someone tries to break your burrow, place another one where you're standing and leap to the burrow being broken to give the vandal a very ~bad time.

Settings: Max out sounds and particles. Turn graphic to fancy to get transparent leaves.

    Survivors:
    1) Perk selection: Perks that provide speed such as blood rush, parkour and broken ankles which should be prioritized, which you should take if you have problems avoiding the spirit. If you don't, take points of failure and Narnia. Don't bother with support perks unless you can already take care of yourself, or if the other perk choices are hot garbage or unusable to you.

Avoid taking line soldier like the plague, it's not even a perk, it just sucks. There are 3 circumstances where it's worth taking, one when the spirit is camping you and you need extra health states, one when it's endgame and you're on 1 health, and finally if you're a genuine menace to society who has already selected the sacrifice perk and want to give more lives to people.

    2) To counter the spirit strategy from above, find and power the wells closest to eachother. Plan and communicate with other survivors so the 2 final wells you power are on opposite ends of the map, such as pumpkin and folly.
This can be more easily discovered if you have the points of failure perk.

    3) Lockers: Don't even bother hiding inside lockers unless you have Narnia, you're just making yourself more vulnerable to the spirit. You can get in and instantly get out to ankle break the spirit, or using the locker as a short teleport to dodge the spirit's attack.

    4: Counters to spirits
Wanderer : Watch out for black particles regardless of heartbeat. Turn your sound to maximum, coming out of vanish makes a massive swoosh swoosh noise, which if you hear, run.

Vermin: Break their burrows. They don't get it back.

Taken: Trust your heartbeat and not your eyes. Stay away from Lockers, and stay away from anywhere that has a line of sight with lockers as their new ability can damage you if they can see you from a locker.

Terror: Watch the ground carefully for snares. Don't climb ladders as they could rig the top of these ladders with snares. If you feel like being a hero, willingly step on these snares when you know others are being chased.

Hollowed: Act like this is Covid and demand people to stay 4 blocks apart until they clear themselves by saying "A" before approaching you in survivor chat. If they don't, they're imposter.

Stunning: Drop the barricade when spirits are within 2 blocks, which is surprisingly far. I recommend not going for stuns when you are injured. It's harder to focus, and you could still die even if your stun is successful due to ping.

Dodging: Instead of running in a straight line, make unpredictable movements. Turn around and run through the spirit or something. They have superior walk speed to you, so you can't escape by running away normally.

Survivor chat: This new feature allows you to communicate only between survivors. You can access it by typing in chat normally. PLEASE USE THIS I SWEAR TO GOD WHY DO I HEAR DEAD SILENT LOBBIES COMMUNICATION IS KEY PEOPLE.

Healing teammates: drop whatever you're doing to heal your teammates unless the spirit is right behind you. Reviving teammates is a bit more complicated, I recommend waiting for 30s before coming to revive them to give spirit time to go away, time for you to power your own beacon, as reviving them will draw the spirit back to you.

Feel free to bully me if any of these pieces of advice are bad, or if I'm missing something. Also if you run into me ingame and I am horrible at it, blame ping or smth.
Also share any funny stories you have of games.

I don't know if I've ever won as the Keeper. Hollowed is loads of fun, you get to be the best of the Wanderer and the Stalker. The new(?) Tripwire ability for Executioner also seems pretty good, but I haven't played it yet.
Vermin is surprising, I always feel like I'm losing burrows left and right, though I haven't played it this year (it also took me SOOO long to figure out how to use the burrows)

Do you have tips for fighting stalker? It's the hardest one for me to deal with usually
Additionally, you can use survivor chat to figure out who's real and fake. Ghosts who announce whenever the spirit shifts are helpful.

I'm surprisingly good at playing against stalker, always have your back against a corner where you have the most visibility, and keep your eyes peeled for any movement. Easier done than said as human eyes evolved to track these sorts of movements. If the spirit is coming at you in hunt, keep staring at it while backing away to assert dominance. Haven't played Crossbow or scythe guy as I have burning hatreds for them ever since last year that I only remembered after touching them again...

Also updated guide with new experiences.

Cool post most of ts is pretty good just a few notes from someone who been playing since year 1
Camping a 3/4gen from the start isnt always the best strat bc they are very breakable now with enough coordination/well power speed perks, defending a 3 gen is def important but also need to focus on going for injures and then mabye commit to a bigger chase if you know they are healing each other and a couple people r injured already(basically dont camp the 3 gen super hard or else u r gettin fucked still have to kill people lo)
Also checkin lockers is kind of time waste dont do that too often, and checkin for dveil often instead of just hearing/seejng a well depower and moving on will probably save you more pts in the long run since dveil is a p rare perk for plp to choose
Survivors should ideally communicate possivle 3/4gens in chat at the start but thats hard to do so without wasting time looking around from the start, so i usually js like to power a central well /ones that commonly cause 3 gens, or if i know the spirit choose wells that are dangerous later vs that spirit(ie powering locker wells vs taken earlier)
    Some evil wells:
Bunker has embrasure/stash/furnace that can be evil(upstajr ones r alsl pretty bad dependin on well spawns/spirit)
Woods has many possivle 3 gens, usually graveyard, crypt, lurch, chapel and growth r important to power in that order
Shroud rn usualt has like 4 wells that spawn east every match alongaide dugout being nearby which is really racist plz add 3 more well spawns here </3

Ideally in order to win u will conserve blockades during chases until u r injured/alone or smth by just loopin the spirit around tiles/jukimg them up close with funny movement, but for point maxing u could just try to stun the spirit as much as possible lol

In a party/ with competent survjvors, fastest way to find all well spawns is to communicate what wells didnt spawn, as bunker can only be missing 4 wells, woods 3, and shroud 2 (bunker has 11 well spawns, woods 10 and shroud 9 while only 7 can spawn)

Uh dont revive chain or revive when spjrit is 2 blocks away
Stop taking lone soldier first perk healing is op
Exe is hard to use for new players and takes some map knowlesge to use properly
Snare and suprise strike can give points, and usinf escape beacon is more pts than normally escaping

Audio cues r also very usefuk to use on both sides, u can tell if a well is bejng powered/depowered, hear healing/spirit sfx, and also hear footsteps/locker enters which can give a shit ton of info and save time checkin wells, usin subtitles can help if u know what to look for
Uh its 3 40 am and i stayed up playin btb if i remembe anything else ill put it here btb my beloved
