Did you know that there is an 800 year time gap between Old Detlas being destroyed and New Detlas being built? Yet, the new city was named the same, put in the same location, with the same language being spoken and written, with nary even a shift in pronunciation.

In my opinion, the AP timeline should be halved. 500 years seems much more sensible for the amount of stuff happening in Wynnstory (Wynn History).

Wynn's timeline is inexplicably stretched and this is a symptom, not an issue in particular IMO. I think the timeline just needs to get fixed.

My suggestion is that the timeline should be fixed by halving its length. This would make its history more sensibly distributed and more influential.

Where did you get this info from?

Are you talking about the Detlas from the 'Ruins of Detlas' SD or?

Yeah, I know Old Detlas was destroyed 78AP, but where did you get the info for when New Detlas was made?

I don't think this is completely unrealistic, founding the new Detlas on the site of a long-destroyed ruins would symbolically show the (supposed) power of the humans and villages over the corruption. Names of locations tend to go mostly unchanged for centuries or even millennia irl, so it isn't unrealistic on that front, either. As for the language and spelling, even a 500 year gap would make it extremely difficult to understand. For both developer and player connivence, having realistic changes in language, spelling, and syllabary would be more trouble than it's worth. Like with media set in the past or future, you just kind of have to suspend your disbelief.

Quite literally the same discovery you mentioned: Ruins of Detlas.

Oh right so at like 900AP okay

I don't see how this is a problem though timeline wise. Sure there is a big gap but it's explained why it occurs.

It's also one of the original settlements from Fruman times so it would've been very iconic and well known. It also being a great location for a trade hub would probably be sought after for a while, so if given support I could see how they'd go rebuild Detlas.

TBF takhashtel is its own language and not just reskinned english, it has unique structure and grammatical features, for the modern Wynn CT at it wouldnt be that much of a leap to see them synthesize an archaic Detlian dialect

It realistically wouldn't be one change though, due to the number of flashbacks and old journals in Wynn.

Wynn seems to be nearly completely unaware of its origins.
