Comment (if any): I was really disappointed to learn that there isn't really a way to make an ice snake mage, other than using tornado. I tried a really, really cursed skill tree that was 50% riftwalker and 50% lightbender in order to bypass the node, and it turns out that it was 100% bad. This actually does respectable damage and by respectable I mean if you squint really hard there's a brief flash before you've got your eyes fully closed where it seems okay. It does more damage than my (relatively tanky) fatal build, if you're only using ice snake. I chose not to use masterwork pure because I wanted to make this at least vaguely realistic.

 

If you teleport/main attack to get distortion the dps goes way up.

 

Yeah, I just listed the base. The actual tornado DPS is significantly higher than my fatal build's, but at the expense of everything else being a lot lower. I actually tried this one out, and did around 10% of the damage in NotG, which isn't terrible. It's not good, but it's not terrible either. I could probably do way better with a bit of practice (and also I did use meteor a lot less than I normally would in order to see how good the ice snake does was, which definitely hurt). Realistically, this build but with my normal skill tree would actually probably be pretty decent.
