    Hello everyone!

Wynncraft has a lot of amazing quests, but which one is the greatest of them all? I've taken 64 of the most beloved quests and pitted them against each other in a bracket style tournament. Every few days, you'll get the chance to vote between two quests. The one with the most votes at the end of each round will advance to the next one, until there's a single winner.

Of course, this is by no means of absolutely determining the best quest, given the low sample size of these polls, it's just intended to be a fun competition!

    CURRENT STANDINGS:

    Round 2 will begin tomorrow!

If you haven't played every quest in Fruma yet, or if you're still going through your first playthrough, you can still participate! Just skip any questions containing a quest you haven't played yet.

If you want to be tagged on the forums every time a new round begins, let me know through a reply or by filling out this form.

This is my third time hosting a quest tournament like this, and I'm excited to see the results for this one! How well will the new Fruma quests do? Will old fan-favorites like One Thousand Meters Under and Hunter's Calling still have a standout performance? Let me know your predictions in the comments!

I wanted to make something like this recently, thanks for this. I'm excited to see how it turns out, but uhh. I'm mad that I had to vote for The Missing Piece over Marauder's Dues (I think I'm in the minority but I love that quest.) There were a few others that are gonna get blindsided as well, like whichever poor quests are paired up with Ensemble and Apotheosis.

I don't know if I'll consistently participate in this. I might. But I'd have to play through the rest of Fruma pretty fast, and I probably will be making glacial progress now that I've hit the XP wall, in order to be able to rate every single quest on this bracket. But! I'll rate what I know. Starting with Div A, going to B, C, D; reading left-to-right, then top-to-down.
    • AJH was good, but it wasn't spectacular. Deja Vu probably will be spectacular when it's updated, but I don't think it has been. Can't vote here.
    • -
    • All Roads to Peace, hands down, one of the best quests period.
    • -
    • A Grave Mistake hasn't been updated, and although I haven't touched it recently due to a low tolerance for even schlocky horror, I think updated Mercenary is better.
    • The Hero of Gavel probably comes out in front of Shattered Minds, but... okay, actually, none of my ratings can be treated as reliable, I don't remember most of these quests in detail. This is basically rating how bright their names are in my memory.
    • -
    • Off the Rails!!! It was so good!!!
    • -
    • No vote? I don't remember D&D4 being super good, but I don't remember how much D&D was updated in general. Revelations in Fall is a midline quest, I can't super distinguish it from the whole line.
    • -
    • The Canary Calls is very very good. I love it. I have to mute the game due to the aforementioned very-easy-to-scare nature, but it's fun. (I have a better tolerance for horror if I'm writing it, I think, and I loved Hollow Serenity... psychological horror, body horror easier to tolerate?? I don't know??)
    • King's Recruit is the tutorial quest. Through the Pipes is something recent and fun. The latter wins.
    • -
    • I don't remember either of these as being particularly good. It's really tough to rate some of this because Wynn has been updated sporadically and my memories of quests are a rolling sea from 1.19 to 2.1 (2.2 in the case of Fruma quests). Was Iron Heart 2 updated substantially? WWas it minorly touched up in some respects? I don't know. No vote.
    • ??? is a dumb gimmick and I honestly don't think it should be counted towards 100% completion of the content book. Echoes of Change is... I guess it's good. It doesn't stand on its own, but the Fruma questline overall is excellent.
    • Misadventure wins, I think. But I don't remember TFF1 well.
    • The Missing Piece beats almost any other quest in the game in a quality poll. Oh my god.
    • AJB and Wynnex D are both good by old Wynn standards, which is to say, they're kinda good but not really great. I think AJB has been touched up, but I stopped rerunning the leveling a long time ago, so I haven't played it since I would've maxed my Mage in... 2.0? Yeah, I think that was my last full playthrough. I'll do another some time! I just... need for Wynn to stop laser-focusing on the endgame. content
    • Fantastic Voyage probably wynns. (That was a typo.) Scarred Springs was its writer's first quest, and I've criticised it before for being underwhelming in comparison to all the other Fruma quests (except Undersupply, which is similarly eh). It has the mechanical trappings of modern Wynn, but not the writing quality; forgivable, but still a problem.
    • -
    • Lexdale Witch Trials isn't bad anymore. I think it's fairly good. But Queen's Recruit was quite fascinating and was an excellent prologue to Fruma. So I rate the latter as superior.
    • Have I played The Cursed One?? I don't know??
    • Neither Order of the Grook nor Point of No Return are great. They're both outdated in different ways. I think Order was pretty fun, and I certainly enjoyed it, but in light of modern events I'd really like it to be changed soon. Still, it wins.
    • Forbidden Prison is very good. Breaking Point is also good, but Prison wins.
    • -
    • That's the, uh, intro to Roughworks right? General's Orders is probably better...?!
    • I do not remember my opinion on New Beginning. Cowfusion is... what do we even do in it...? I'll vote for it?
    • Hollow Serenity. 10/10. No notes. No contest.
    • Thanos Depository, I think.
    • Recover the Past beats Undersupply. It is a good look at Fruma, it builds the mystery, while Undersupply on its own merits is profoundly mediocre.
    • I've always liked Memory Paranoia. The stinger on The Price of Ingenuity is really good, though... I guess Paranoia still.
I'll move forward with these answers.

For the main poll, either works, it's mainly just a way to ensure the same person doesn't vote twice. If you're filling out the form to be tagged when a new poll is posted, I do need your forums name.

I've gone and finished Qira Hive and I can say conclusively: oh, no, that's kind of bad. Hive Drabbles and the Festival plays it up, and its characters are good, but the content is heinously outdated.

Y'know, it's funny; I've always had a soft sport for Wynnexc, but it's aged so poorly that I didn't think I could vote for it. But AJB is such a pain.

I think the thing that stood out to me the most was how many of these I decided based on "oh, yeah, that's a broken buggy mess" or "wow, I think there are players younger than the current incarnation of this quest". They desperately need a midgame overhaul to fix those. I've been working on a similar project (which I need to restart cuz Fruma) and the first 20 levels are so good. And then you hit Lost Tower and it's like "wow, this is so peak. The game only gets worse from here." because really, how can you improve upon perfection?

At this point maybe, but it was extremely frustrating near launch when lag was high, it might honestly lose.

Shadow of the Beast is a great quest and it totally makes sense that you would naturally be at level 20 in all professions by the time you get there

I mean. To be fair. Level 20 is not that hard. Nobody should do professions but it's not very bad at early levels. You don't even have to buy T3 tools.

Round 1 has concluded; thank you to all 27 people who voted! You can view the results here: https://forms.gle/N5Gxe1Ja1yAFz9MG7

    Some notable results:
    • Due to the very small sample size, some of these matchups came down to one vote!
    • 12/13 of the main Fruma story quests advanced to the next round.
    • Meanwhile, only 3/8 of the Fruma sidequests advanced to the next round, which came as a big surprise to me!
    • Ensemble of Hope, Apotheosis, The Missing Piece, and Off the Rails won with 100% of the vote!
    • All Roads to Peace had the best showing out of every pre-Fruma quest. I wonder how far this one will go.

I'll update the brackets on the main post as soon as possible. The poll for Round 2 will arrive early tomorrow.
