Is Assassin the hardest class?

Particularly Shadestepper. I've played Light bender Mage and Bolt Slinger Archer before and was looking for something that requires a bit more mechanical execution, but for the life of me I can't figure out how to properly play Shadestepper. Specifically in raids I can never find a chance to get Knives before everything is dead, It usually feels more like I'm playing a support class to set up Marks than an actual damage class

 

As I have said before and will continue saying, Assassin suffers from having a high skill floor and a low damage to effort ratio. For shadestepper, the main way to maximize you raiding damage relies on having the tier two mythic aspect so that you can backstab chain and proc satsujin more effectively, and having the tier two knives aspect so you can get max knives with one spin.

 

I heard assassin in general has pretty low play stats, at least at higher levels, from what little of it I have played it looks like its not because its bad its just because the skill required for good output, compared to how much that output actually is, is just not a very good ratio compared to other classes

 

Exactly. It's by no means bad, and imo it's the most fun class by far (Shadestepper superiority)

 

it seems super fun yeah, i just cant for the life of me get the gameplay down. once i do though i think ill be living the life, but at least until then i can i can be support mark setter
