Died in misadventures on the sea

When you're flying out the cannon and landing safe on the island it instead killed me?
Then lost my perfect gear???
What the hell?
Seems like both a known bug and bad one as you can loose valuables to it

 

I haven't seen any bug reports about this, may I ask what you were doing before you died? Also, how did you lose your gear? Were you playing a special game mode?

 

Hardcore hence items lost
Legit nothing, was in the cutscene still clicked into the game didn't press any controls I landed then was in the air and fell and died due to fall damage
my fps was very good
wifi speeds excellent
not had anything like this happen before to me

 

Genuinely no idea how this would have occured, I'll test this myself later on a character I haven't done the quest on.

 

my only guess is if there was a dip in tps due to other stuff going on in the server at the time?
