Does Assassin Suck?

Hey, i'm a new player that just started playing assassin. I say a video by Modcraft, and he seemed to say that it sucks? Does it really?

 

It can deal very good damage in the right circumstances, but the methods to do so almost always require lots of money and skill.

If this is your first class, I'd recommend making a new character and trying out warrior or mage, and restarting assassin later, when you have the ability to make a decent build and the skill to learn to play it.

Also, if you're new and willing to play modded, check out "Voices of Wynn." it really improves the player experience!

Thank You. One more thing - How do people get like 2000 health? Because even good armor sets only give like 150 hp?

 

This is because of level difference. Higher leveled gear will (usually) give stronger stats and higher health for armour and higher dps for weapons. As a good rule of thumb, you should probably look to change out your gear every 3-5 levels unless it's really good until level 40, where you can start changing it out every 10 or so.

Item rarities also play a factor, as a basic rule, (but usually should be decided on a case-by-case basis) Legendaries>Rares>Uniques. And never use common tier items unless you have absolutely nothing else you can put in that slot (usually only a problem before level 7)

 

You will get better and better items as you level up and explore new areas

 

This game has a very complex item system, I'd highly recommend checking the wiki page for identifications (wiki.gg, not fandom) if you're looking for more info. For now, I'd mostly worry about doing quests so you can get money, experience, and learn more about the world of Wynn. Your content book should be more than enough to guide you through the game.

 

assassin is not total ass, its just not as synergistic as other classes when it comes to endgame co-op content
