Initial thoughts on the trailer??

To me it looked awesome, loved every bit of the trailer and what they showed off. Definitely the best wynn trailer yet. Mounts look really cool, the dialogue looks really cool, abilities look awesome, and best of all the build team absolutely cooked with the builds for fruma.

Tasim aurafarming for 30% of the trailer goes hard

Getting a Gavel-esque gate opening cutscene also goes hard

13 part storyline is crazy

sovereign gikyo is like 70 raccoons in a trenchcoat or smthn

dialogue portraits are fucking insane

Tbh I didn't like the Tasim aurafarming. The animation style shift was jarring.

 

I'm very excited but also worried that my potat-- computer will not be able to run Wynn anymore.

This is the perfect next step for Wynncraft. All is becoming how it could have been envisioned. Within Minecraft, the developers were limited with textures, sfx, and other basics that impacted how the world they wanted to build would take shape. I personally believe that the restrictions of the form and technology made the server what it is today and has been an integral part of what makes Wynncraft so unique.

This update is a chance now for the devs to impact the shape of the world they built and love in a far more direct way, and open up the world of Wynncraft to possibilities that were once not possible. The trailer shows us the love and passion that the team has been pouring into this project behind the scenes for SEVEN WHOLE YEARS.

So excited for what's to come. Keep on doing what you're doing, Dev Team!

 

The new spell VFX will make it lag less actually

 

The new vfx looks freaaaking awesome dude

 

Honestly, the thing that made me the most hyped for the update did not come from the trailer itself. The coolest thing is from the update page, with the three fruma photos near the top. That second picture of the four areas around the central city really shows the scale and detail of everything. That is the coolest thing so far.

 

Am I wrong that Tasim seems to have been an army commander in the past?

Alright, I'll admit that I was actually pessimistic about Fruma. I expected five quests in a small new region, all of which would be overshadowed by Champion+ or something.

Needless to say, the trailer makes me feel like a dumbass in retrospect

 

The model system is genuinely less laggy than particles

Also, in the region section of the website, it mentions "The Wastelands", which is said to be part of a later release, which means even more content will be added to Fruma after its initial launch.

 

Deusphage returns to fill us with even more hope for the future of Wynncraft!

Damn we are being SPOILED this weekend with all the good stuff.

 

He was wearing his new outfit that we've seen him wear in the Festival of the Blizzard. The part where he was killing Fruman soldiers was not a flashback.

 

yeah, but the part where it flashes to him LEADING THE FRUMAN ARMY probably was

 

i think he's still wearing the same outfit though
perhaps he either mass murders fruma soldiers or becomes a general based on story choices

 

I thought that it was just Tasim getting brainwashed again after becoming some kind of insurgent leading him to command Fruman soldiers. Although, to have choices that change the outcome of the storyline rather than just the reward at the end would be really cool.
