Ok So About Those Cube Things

Does anyone actually know how these guys attack

And I don't mean from scrutinizing them via past footage or replay mod file or anything like that, I mean like, how you see them as they are in-game and in-game alone

Because, you know, on-sight attack readability is kinda more important here when it comes to boss design. I want to actually see what I'm being hit by during battle



I've probably done these two world events like several tens of times now and I still have no idea how they attack me

The Incomprehensible Cynosure one shoots smoke in some seemingly random directions and spews purple particles around in the air (which is cool and all ignoring the fact that the second one pretty much seems nigh-impossible to react to if one actually does fall on you), but because I always stay far away from the boss none of those projectiles seem to actually like, be anywhere near me when I do actually get hit out of nowhere

And the phase where the Otherworldly Exhibition one spawns in is simply just too crowded to even tell what the boss does or fires at me.



Regardless, the invulnerable one still somehow deals massive damage seemingly at random when it is the only one alive and I run around it in a relatively wide circle. If it has any predictive attacks, I have never spotted them

I swear I'm not blind I've done this world event so many times my eyes are being so peeled right now
The Incomprehensible Cynosure one is usually the last mob alive so I have my eyes on it at ALL TIMES while circling it



These two bosses I pretty much have to run around and pray my health doesn't drop to 20% from max from an unseen attack or two for like the billionth time

How do they still hit me when I circle around them??? Do they have predictive firing??? Well, if they do I sure don't see anything incoming!!!



This post isn't a request to explain how the bosses work, I can do that just by studying replay mod footage on slow-motion if I didn't intentionally abstain myself from doing that solely to figure these guys out

There's a bunch of projectiles. Pretty much everywhere.
Make sure your particle count is high.

I'll check them in game rq and see if there's any issues that changed between development and release

Oh wait Sam actually DM'd about this earlier. They had a broken hitbox on the projectiles. That's probably why you don't understand how you're getting hit.

 

Are these from lootruns or WEs? Ive never seen these cube thingies.
