We often think of phishing of an email situation, so its kinda crazy people are doing it in-game too. Then again, minecraft accounts can be sold. Are websites to buy 30 minecraft accounts still a thing? All of hacked accounts...

Here's an extra tip: have different passwords for your minecraft, discord, banking and email accounts so you don't give access to your email as well, allowing the fisher to steal the account entirely from you or steal money from you.

Another tip: Never post online something that's private and you wouldn't want others to know. That can also lead to blackmail!

Another tip: Do not use your real life name. People can track you and find where you live! Pretty scary.
