The reworked skins are BAD

At least a mace can smack things. I only see a wand there.

 

It's supposed to be a morningstar. It does have sharp edges and a pointy tip that looks like it could be used in close-range combat.

That said, I think it looks bad (especially because of the broken animation) and I greatly prefer the unique look of it's original mace model.

 

Whips, flails, mace (of the chained variety not like a morningstar), chain knives, chainsword, kusarigam, lances, macuahuitl, kestros, slings, chakrams, naginata, gunsens, tensens. There's a lot of unique stuff that could be used

 

Honestly my main issue with most of them is that the the edges just feel weirdly rounded on most of these for some reason? Like, the spears and daggers are fine for the most part, but when it comes to like, the icicles on the frost bow and relic or the spikes on the corrupted set it feels like somebody sanded off the tips, especially in comparison to some of the more detailed sets we've been getting

 

this is because it's really difficult to make something look jagged and spiky within the limitations of minecraft models

 

the frost set is bad now
also dont know which set it is, wasnt included in the screenshots by samsam101, but one of the dagger skins was changed to a black sword with a weird shape and like a pink edge
it does not look good

 

a lot of event skins (fury, gothic, fossil) pull it off with the use of 2d planes. It's a bit odd none of these reworked weapon skins seem to use them at all outside of the magic effects
