Beauty of The Lobby

maybe its because i spent a significant amount of time in the old lobbies but the current lobby doesn't really feel that old to me yet. i mean, it definitely doesn't match the style of current wynn but there's plenty of places within the map itself that don't match so i guess i'm just used to it. idk!

i do miss the class "bases" from the old lobby though. i liked exploring them. i always thought the mage house's ice crystal was cool.

Uses one block family, making the whole area feel entirely monochrome. Block choices where there are blocks other than sandstone used are weird and clash with the dominantly used sandstone, like travel and oak logs. Everything is flat, with houses being literal shoeboxes made out of sandstone, like your starter survival base.

It doesn't even look like the rich town that it is meant to be. It lacks color, it lacks any interesting architecture beyond gross slabspam. The poor part of almuj is literally just the normal almuj but with some cobwebs because the entire place already looks like the buildings were made on a budget.
The buildings surrounding the barracks show what Almuj could look like, and it's a lot more fitting to its lore (and a lot better looking) than it's current sandstone boxes.

 

instead of yappin on the forums just go in to the "map bake" and rebuild it silly goose
