Nostalgia

Fine folks of the forums, especially those who have completed their first playthrough, at times don't you get randomly that nostalgic feeling about wynncraft? Like, wanting to experience all over again the quests and storyline of the game, the secrets, the discoveries and everything, but not replay them with another class, just like you were doing them for the first time, maybe in the meantime discovering wynn fan art too. And also feeling different vibes from every different piece of content, may it be Corkus, the Desert, the Mesa, or the Light and Dark forest, Cinfras, the Silent Expanse.

Idk if it is just me but I associate almost every part of the playthrough with a specific kind of music or book or film. For example Hollow Serenity reminded me a lot of Emily Brontë's Wuthering Heights and that Kate Bush song with the same name, or maybe I think that Led Zeppelin's Stairway to Heaven would fit perfectly the plot of RoL 5. I would love to see everybody's thoughts on this stuff :)

when i first played wynn, I didnt know anything, and I just got stuck in ternaves one day, having no idea what was going on. I thought the map must be infinite because of how big it was!

 

Oooo that's cool. It reminds me of something probably every wynncraft player ever has went through, likely during RoL 4: ":0 Cinfras is so huge!!! It's a fucking metropolis!!! How much time will it take me to explore just this city!"

I have nostalgia for the time when gavel released. We got updates just as big if not bigger in scope since then, but there was something magical about a new big province you could explore. Adding 3d models and a texture pack was the biggest step forward to making wynncraft its own thing and not “a Minecraft mmorpg”.

 

Would love to go back to when I didn't know quests gave xp and thought VIP town was Detlas, truly simpler times.

 

totally. i've already played through wynncraft multiple times but it would be cool to go back and do it again for the first time. i would honestly be fine with playing through any version of wynncraft again but i would especially love to play 2014-2015 era wynncraft.
