I understand this can fall under general suggestions as well but look at some of these shouts that are being put into the game (I understand wynntils can help take shouts off your screen however that is not in base game) Can we please realize there are children playing this game and either hold the community accountable or at least add a /toggle shouts because this is ridiculous for a game that is meant for children. I expect atleast a response from some type of staff

 

Thanks for finally pointing it out. I am pretty confident shouts weren‘t designed to share literal brainrot and degenerated jokes, and I am tired of these messages.

 

Yeah this has gotten kinda bad more recently, people just have full "conversations" (word vomit) in the form of shouts and its just so immature, they know what they're doing. I'm surprised there isn't some form of basic word filter for shouts after all this time

 

i literally saw this shout on a different server (not wynncraft, but even more heavily advertised for kids)

Well I can certainly say the person who shout that is also a kid so I guess the advertised "for kids" is doing its job

Oh I didn't realise, I'm too used to people censoring their words on other platforms, such as Youtube (still doesn't stop them saying stupid stuff)
I guess the best thing to do is report them, I honestly never think to do that when I see people using shouts for such, but now ill keep it in mind

 

maybe just ban the word "stroking" i dont see it used in any good context
and even if it existed people would only use it in the bad way

Btw for anyone who is trying to defend me I think you're a bit silly? My shout was fully deserving of a punishment (I find a ban instead of a mute strange but maybe a mod can tell me why Wynn has that system)

I also think people suggesting a /toggle for shouts need to think a tiny bit harder (duh) because shouts are likely a significant money stream for Wynncraft and if a lot of people blocked shouts then people would stop buying them. I think real solutions would be 1) /ignore <player> apply to shouts (why doesn't it...???) and 2) less likely but still feasible, implementing it as a rank feature... people will complain "why does only <rank(s)> get this feature?" but let's be honest: people will always complain about higher ranks having more features - and Wynn shouldn't lose nearly as much income compared to disabling them outright.

I think it would be pretty laughable if Wynn actually put an end to the "Meow" shouts
Every "Meow" shout that is store-bought is worth like $1 lol (I've spent tens and tens of stacks of LE on market silverbull shares tho agagaga)

 

actually there's theoretically nothing stopping us from just adding pickles to the blocked word filter, thus banning them
