Does your current level affect chances when identifying items?

    Eg. If the identifiable item's level range is from 40-44, and I identify it at level 38 which is below the range, am I more likely to get the lowest level weapon possible (like the lvl 40 one)? Compared to if I identify it within or above levels 40-44?

    All unidentified items are predetermined, your combat level doesn't affect the roll outcome, and you can identify any item at any level (as long as you have the money :I)

    Also if you didn't already know, you can use the Wynntils mod, when you hover over an unidentified item, it will show all the items in that level range that it could be, very helpful and just nice to have, especially for when you're opening loot chests
