How does exploding works

So basically of what I understand, when a mob die depending of your exploding % stat it can explode right? So like if you got 23% exploding stat it have 23% chance of exploding. I also saw during some search that over 100% exploding stat does nothing, but I recently saw in the trade market the bow Zero with 360% exploding??? Like is that just a useless stat bonus to show off or what?

Anything above 100% basically counteracts any negative Exploding stat from your other items, and doesn't do much else since it's effective cap is 100%.
